Nice game! I liked that you could sacrifice your health for attack boost and the dark fantasy medieval theme!
Unfortunately, i couldn't see the rest of the text in the menu due to it being past the book and when the stats gets too high, it overlaps with the other text.
I saw that the story was W.I.P and in case this games gets updates after the game jam, i'd like to play the game again and see what happens in the story!
If you participate in another game jam next time, i'd recommend making the game playable on web first since its easier to play on. (like, just play on run button instead of downloading and it can get more users too)
But overall, I think with some polishes, this can be a great game!
Mm gotcha!! I think the problem with the font pretty much comes down to me not really understand how a theme in godot should actually work 😭
Since the intended font for it's supposed to be AmeticSC but after exporting the game, the font just doesn't carry over to other people's download T~T
Though I'm not sure if the problem is only presents in Linux or all the game's download since my friend who played this game is on Linux and I can't really test any other OS
Also I do have a web version ready but I'm not sure if I can still submit it due to it being a few days since the jam closes now. But I'll keep it in mind for next time :D
That aside though, really glad you enjoyed the game! ^w^ I definitely have a solid idea of how I wanted the story will be and I'll probably start working on fixing all the bugs, finishing all the sprites, then actually work on the story once the jam ended!
I like the art style! If you expand this a bit more, I can see it being a great game! :)
Thank you!!! :D
I definitely have plans to expand the game more in the future especially with the story >:)
I probably won't make the game super long but I wanna focus on making the gameplay a bit more comprehensible and adding stuff that would make the game more engaging such as consumables and more satisfying effects when you attack the enemies!
A bit confusing, but with some more polish and balance, it could become a pretty good game!
Thank you!!! :D
I'll try my best to update the game into a more polished state and definitely balance it a lot more after the jam ended!! :>
Cool little game, I really like the art style. Like someone else had mentioned, a lot of it was trial and error till you figure out what does what but I can see this more interesting once everything's fleshed out
Obviously a bunch left undone but I enjoyed what there was. Nice work.
Thank you!! Honestly I definitely wanna add something that would be slowly introducing the mechanics of the game to the player instead of just throwing them in immediately, also I definitely overestimated how much I could get done in time when it comes to the art T~T
Still tho, really glad you liked it :D
very fun once you get the mechanics! though admittedly a bit hard to learn with nothing being written out.
i liked it :D
Yippee
