How does your game fit the theme?
"Just Press Start" reflects the theme of "Just Getting Started" by turning the simplest action in gaming — pressing the Start button — into a playful, ongoing challenge. Each minigame symbolizes the act of beginning something new, whether it's shooting ducks, breaking bricks, or dodging asteroids. Rather than focusing on long-term mastery or complex progression, the game celebrates the joy of starting over, trying again, and embracing the learning curve. Every short, time-limited minigame reinforces the message: every big journey, every great score, every classic arcade experience starts with one small action — pressing Start. In this way, the game transforms "getting started" from a passive step into the heart of the gameplay itself.

Same idea twins! Art's really good and the minigames seem really polished! Not sure what all the skulls and eyeballs are about. Troubling...
Thank you so much! Music and sound fx were the only thing we didn’t do. Although I probably spent way to long picking the song and tweaking the sfx.
A very nice looking game. The theme is unqiue and done in many different ways. I love alll the miniigames and things, the leaderboard is just a cherry on top. Really well done for a first game but also just good in general.Unfortunately I don't really know what to give you feedback on ahaha, I guess for the airplan one I was unsure of the controls so just having the contorls like at the bottom of the screeen or something ccould help make it easy for pllayers to know the controls.

this was fun! my fav videogame is the one that is like shooting to the start buttons. It reminded me of the time I spent playing Wii Play with my family, concretely the game about shooting balloons and birds (a bit radical).
So very fun! I got 10th in the leaderboard, and I'm satisfied like that.

lmao! Yea that’s not supposed to happen, lol. I found that bug right after the deadline ended, we we using it in the asteroid game but never realized it broke all the other games. You’re the first to figure that out actually. Thanks for playing btw.

Really cute game, and has a literal interpretation of the theme, which I always find interesting. The art is nice but the background really overpowers the gameplay screen, especially in the memory clicker game, where its very easy to miss which one flashed. It is reminiscent of WarioWare and it's approach of having intuitive controls without needing tutorials, but it might be worth it to have a constant reminder of the available keys, or even just flash it at the start of every level. Overall controls were smooth and the goal was obvious immediately for each game!
thanks! Yea I agree some small control labels would be ideal and I think fading the background a bit more may help some too. You nailed the inspiration btw. WarioWare was a favorite growing up.

At first I thought it was a simple game (use the ball to break some tiles) but after I pressed the start button again I was truly shocked in a good way. Nice job, it fits the theme.

Very fun! On the duck hunt game I couldn't help myself but to shoot the targets on beat with the music, which did not help my score ahaha. WASD didn't work at first but reloaded like you instructed in page description. The start page artstyle is very nice:)
Terrific game! reminded me of the world's hardest game, brick breaker and aim trainer :D I love the art style and the game design is excellent. One of the top games for sure!
