How does your game fit the theme?
The game is themed around the narrator trying to get the player to "just get started" with the adventure, and the player inevitably avoiding doing so.

Stanley Parable meets FNAF was not on my bingo sheet, but the two work surprisingly well together, nice
the game looks amazing, great VA work, the break of expectations when going from a silly top down to the horror fps game is really good, and the art on both sections are stellar, specially the dithered first person graphics, I'm biased towards pixel and dither games tho ;P
I got caught (ending 2) on the FPS and I wanna come back once the jam ends and, if you work more in this, also check the "full version" cause I love the whole vibes of the game.
Wow I like the overall experience of the game ✨
Very solid and polished game, the Narrator was the best part, based on the cover you'd expect this t be a horror game, but even the last part wasn't that scary, very interesting tho. I'd suggest adjusting the speed of which the stairs chase you haha, it was quite fast, I really had to lock in to be able to dodge it and progress to the next part of the game, also the last part was quite confusing, I couldn't beat it for a while until read through the comments and understood what I was suppose to do.
Overall presentation was great and I had fun, very impressed that this is your first game too, congratulation!
I loved this game... I got locked out during the spin-around part. I really like this game, though. Wasn't that scary but it was funny.
Absolutely love this game. The art is awesome. I like games where defy/troll the narrator, reminds me of There Is No Game and Stanley Parable.
Great concept, great voice acting, very funny and interesting! Subtitles would've been nice for such an audio heavy game but I realize it's a game jam and time is limited. Great job!
The first part was so funny and the voice acting is excellent!, The first person part was interesting.
The voice acting was fun, though I seemed to get stuck in an interaction loop, unble to do anythign but interact until the narrator removed the intractable.
I love this game through and through, I did not expect the voice acting but it's a very welcoming surprise :D The first section is really fun and I love the humor that was put into it. The switch up after the mashing and the devlog bit talking about the next mechanics is super eerie and the setup for the final room was really well done! The ending room was a bit confusing even after redoing and hearing the mechanics again, did not realize I could get jumpscared and still live but hindsight it makes a lot of sense. Overall, a really well made game, and I think you nailed it; definitely gonna be remembering this one (again, the switch up was insane, thank you for a less intense jumpscare)
After a lot of attempts with the stairs and watching the walkthrough I finally got the hang of avoiding those darn stairs
and I'm not too much of a fan of horror games personally but this was really well done. The ending message was also very emotional.
Gameplay wise I would prefer if the controls were smoother (I ran into things so often when tryna run from the S T A I R S) and if the stairs were slightly slower or had an option to make it slower like with the chase part. And the Tip does say interact with everything but I mistook it as "Interact with everything in a way the stairs don't come for you " and not "Interact with everything, even while the stairs chase you".
Great game, especially for a new jammer!
this game is probably one of my favorites from the jam!
This is awesome!
as someone with dyslexia having everything voice acted was lovely! and the interaction gimmick gave me real stanley parable vibes!
If i could change one thing with this its probably to stop the stairs from moving while your interacting with objects i only ended up seeing ending 4 and ending 5.
Great work though dude very well done!
You can actually still move while the stairs move! Hopefully this should help get you those other endings. Thanks for the kind words!
Even if you interact with something? i might have missed something ill give it another whirl
Yep. This is only active when the stairs start chasing you, though (I wanted to change it but ran out of time)
I was not expecting it to be voice acted?? And the concept reminds me of stanley parable! a super cool experience overall~
This is a clever idea and i'd say one of the more unique ones among the jam. I could imagine a classical 5-acts play in this style.
Good job on the first jam submission!
Congrats on your first jam entry! This game is hilarious, annoying the narrator is really satisfying, and the voice acting you did realllly sells it. A super creative way to interpret the theme, too. This should be a full game tbh, it's wonderful!
This is so funny! "Okay I just deleted this" xD The moving stairs! OMG
This has some DnD DM feelings to me, getting frustrated over the players stupid decisions xD
Also I love the narration. Really well done!
the game is perefect fun creative and looks good
The narrator actually scared me.. I thought this was a horror game...
I could tell that you hadn't gotten far into the game when you commented this. (Not negative)
great game!
It's a funny little game. Loved it!
