Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
It fits the theme because the original idea was you had to just get started on a puzzle but not have the chance to finish it due to needing to hide from the monster. Unfortunately due to over scoping myself I couldn't add the monster so it was just me getting started on the game

Looks pretty good,  the atmosphere you have created is amazing for a newbie

Good luck for updates on the game:)

Thank you! I am not super happy with how it turned out but I apricate the kind words.

No worries, that is what will push you to update the game further and enhance it..

All the best :D

Looks very cool, but is the door after the room with the fireplace supposed to be locked? I can't figure out a way to progress after that section.

Developer

Yeah in the mirror room there's another puzzle on the fireplace that gives a key. Sorry didn't have time to flesh out everything that I wanted.

Played! The sound effect after doing pipe game gave me a little jump! Although it replays every time you pass that spot after aha.

I assume the door down the hall on the right is locked cause it couldn't open it, a sound effect would have helped to show it!

Nice atmosphere:) Good job

That's alright, it happens:)

Feel like I should note the controls

WASD to move left click/E to interact and tab/esc to pause and to quit out of the puzzle/leave a hitting spot.
