so cool but i think you win every time
Overall fun! drawing fast is a fun mechanic, would've liked if i could see my drawings !
Oh, I haven’t really thought about it, great catch!
Very chill and fun experience of drawing. Figuring out how scoring works was a little challenging and I don't think I got it :D . Overall relaxing game that still manages to keep you on your toes in a fun way with new challenges, rules and instruments.
Yup I think I might have to find a better way on displaying that info, but I’m glad you had fun :)
Had a chill time with this one. Some prompts repeated, but overall fun and relaxing
I’m glad you liked it… And yeah I wish I could have spent a bit more time on that :p
Really relaxing game with pretty simple controls, made it really easy to pick up quickly! Not sure how the words were picked but it started repeating a little bit after several drawings so it would be nice if it were always new prompts, but had a great time overall!
It picked out at random from like 200+ words, but yeah after some time they might get repetitive :s
Nice cozy game:) The mirror tool was useful for the mimic drawing aha.
Nice to hear that the mirroring was useful :D
Nice relaxing vibe! It was a little difficult to intuit what I was supposed to do. But the music was nice and relaxing.
What do you mean by that? Several people have complained a bit on drawing criteria already :s
So when we load up the game, we are immediately thrusted into drawing the first prompt. Which all makes sense because there is a prompt up top and it is easy to understand that you are supposed to draw on the canvas. But it isn't too clear what would give you more/less points per sketch.
Perhaps instead of putting the context for the game only in the game's description on itch.io, you can make a menu screen or some sort of intro mechanic where the reason for creating the art is told to the player. Or some other bit of context to show what a good drawing is compared to a bad one. That way, regardless of if the player has read the description on itch.io, they would have enough information to understand what is going on.
The music is great though! It kind of reminds me of Balatro. How did you make it?
I guess you have a point, and having a tutorial/explanation of score would have been nice
As someone who loves to draw I really enjoyed this game, it was really fun. Good job!
Thank youu!
this was interesting I really liked how it took inspiration from
drawful
Ooh, definitely looks like it :D
Something else... I enjoyed the drawing challenges. And the game progression and different challenges were fun. I do not understand the scoring though. But maybe that's the whole point?
edit: Amyway, I really enjoyed the novelty of this game. It is something totally different from all the games in this Jam I have played so far. (40+ so far)
I’m glad you enjoyed the game so much, but I’ve seen a lot of people trying to figure out scoring :p I guess I should have made the points pop out more, As you get them from a few ways, there’s some rules if you’d get them at all, it is time based and there a few multipliers, so I’m not entirely sure how that should show up :s
Yeah, I did really try to figure out scoring. That was actually part of the fun for me.
These are tough problems to solve though. making the scores pop out more would definitely help. And a little more time between the challenges maybe.
Being more " transparent" or clear about the points system would make the player be better and scoring higher, but it would remove the fun of trying to figure out how it works...
I didn't expect a game like this, getting new tools gives a good sense of progression. It's rewarding and relaxing, I had a lot of fun :)
Also if you have the time go try my game, I would love some feedback
I’m glad xou enjoyed the game so much :D
Really fun! I really liked the progression system :D
Thank you for playing:)
Great game!
Thanks :)
I like how you start with simple tools and rules and progressively unlock new art tools, while facing more challenging conditions.
Thanks for the submission!
I’m glad you enjoyed the progression system :)
I like novel ideas, something unexpected. Good work.
Thanks for playing :D
A very fun experience, simple and satisfying. I liked the progression of pencils, and the bonus points. It felt like I could rush the game if I wanted to or try my best for other bonus challenges. Gave it a good sense of variety in such a small gameplay loop.
Thanks for the feedback, I thought of using currency, but it turns out this system was better :)
Such a relaxing game, great job
I am impressed how well it catches my drawings
Thanks for trying out the game :)
Very good for winding down.
Nothing like a good doodle to get those creative vibes going - could see me playing something like this even outside the jam TBH, it's right up my street.
Thanks for making this, really very cool :)
Thanks, If I decide to update the game it would probably come with more prompts and graffiti cans :)
Interesting and fun concept. I'm curious how you programmed the point system to catch random drawings or was it purely based on time?
It is based on time and a few factors, such as lines drawn and colors used :D
Relaxing game, i like the idea
I’m glad ro hear you liked it :)
