NSFW content now, what is going to be next?

We all know the people who are pushing for removal of nsfw content have as an ultimate goal the removal of everything deemed "dangerous" (queer content, violence etc.), so now that all NSFW content has been delisted without warning, can we expect this is what will happen in the future?

Why would people use this website to promote their games if out of nowhere everything can be delisted, no warning, no announcement, no explanation

the ABSOLUTE cowards bending to some prude ass mother fucker who doesn't like what isn't considered "normal" to them. i feel SO strongly about this because when is ENOUGH... just leave people alone, let us have our adult games ffs, as long as its not hurting anyone whats the issue.

honestly there is no way to know what is next. The group who led the removal of steam nsfw (Collective Shutout) is now targeting Detroit Become Human. They are a far right Christian group hiding behind "protect women".

this fake ass "protect women" while hiding behind "Christian beliefs" as a woman REALLY really pisses me off. i don't believe in the kinda shit they do... so why are they pushing there beliefs onto me and everyone else. im super upset about this as well as so many other people are. we NEED to put a stop to this because they will keep coming for everyone and anyone that doesn't align with there small pathetic world views.

They don't even play these games, why do they care if a website hosts them? I'm tired of terrible people ruining things for others.

Next they'll yell and cry about anything LGBTQA, the hateful bigots...

They most definitely will come after LGBTQ+ next. Collective Shout are in bed with Christian extremist organizations.

Honestly this is the end with itch io for me. I will keep following the project I follow but contact each author and ask them if I can purchase it elsewhere.

I will never ever purchase anything on here.

This is going to keep happening until we stand up to these credit card companies. A class action law suit? There's  got to be something. This is bullshit.

I don't make or play the affected types of games, but, now is the time for Itch and Steam to embrace crypto payments for those who do. With the issue being due to payment processor demands, it isn't even a legal gray area to do so, as it is with online gambling sites that are open to the US, due to it being illegal for banks to process transactions for them. So, crypto payments for Itch and Steam would be logistically easier to implement, and if the gray area gambling sites can do it, Steam can. But, maybe not Itch. Because Itch forces devs to beg for searchability and payouts publicly in the forums.
