Yes - I'm new to game jams!
How does your game fit the theme?
This game embraces the theme "Just Get Started" by making creation instant, simple, and fun.
No menus. No complex setup. You drag, drop, and press play , and you're immediately inside your own level.
You don’t need to plan. You don’t need to overthink.
Whether you're placing traps, coins, or enemies — you’re already designing a playable world.
The message is clear: just get started, and the fun will follow.

It's a nice idea and very creative, though the buttons are a little laggy and don't work very well...
Some bugs were that the jump didn't work very well sometimes, and that some objects were added out of nowhere when I clicked play(that doesn't happen when I am selecting the eraser).
Good job though, very different from other games, and definitely something quite big for your first game jam!
Very strong submission!
I bet you had the idea very fast and created a clean and structure backlog of tasks, to manage adding all necessary features into the game (engine).
Shows a lot of effort and good planning to pull this off in this short period of time.
Congratulation on finishing you very first game jam ever!
Making a playable game engine is a briliant way of adhereing to the gamejam's theme. A novel experience, that despite its bugs is quite fun and could be a useful tool for prototyping potential platoformer levels in the future.
Thanks for your kind words brother, consider rating it :D
i didn't even expected some on gonna make practically a game maker itself for the game jam really creative honestly i am not in these kind game much ( i would prefer making a actual game instead of playing a game where i am making the game ) but i do know some people enjoy that graphics are really cool i would have liked if sprite were their instead of those different color boxes while making the level anyway good work kumar shab
Wow, you made a whole level editor, that's insane. Everything works and looks so smooth, great job!
Quite the challenge to make a level editor for your first gamejam, but I think you definitely succeeded! It might be nice to be able to see the items that you placed instead of the coloured block, but I'm genuinely very impressed, congrats on your first game jam!
Very impressed that you manage to create a level editor in such a short time!
However, to me, the platforming feels a little bit floaty. And I wish in the editor itself it shows the actual objects you are placing, instead of abstract shapes.
Overall pretty neat project though.
A level editor in 10 days is very impressive! Also, a very unique take on the theme, really like it.
A custom playable level editor under 10 days? And this is your first jam! Great job!
Quite unlike everything else in this jam, which is appreciated. Great work.
Wow, great work, I don't even know how you managed to do that in 10 days!
Loved to create levels fast and test them, really a great idea!
wow, was not expecting something like this for a jam. I really wonder how you managed to make this. It's very easy to get started and you get it immediately basically. Very unique and there are many ways to work on this. I'll try to say something other's have not yet, and that is I think if you wanted to you could make it so there are different missions or criteria that you have to complete. Like optional challenges of creathing levels with a set amount of enemis or something. JNust a thought. Good job man esp since this is youur first game jam.
Thanks man and your idea is very unique , I am hearing it for first time and I would surely implement that in next few updates :)
This must have been fun to make. I think level editors are such a cool tool. It's something you can use in future projects also with some tweaking, you can make full levels in just a few moments. I would like to see this worked on more. I would also work on the character controller a bit. I did get a game over if I stood still to long... not sure what that was about. But all in all, I think this is a very creative project.
Thanks for the appreciation buddy ! :)
I like the idea but I managed to encounter some bugs like: could not jump sometimes, some text will pop up like 5-10 times on the screen, performance issues but it is hard to make this kind of simulator so I respect you and your game
Thanks man..I know there are some bugs and even more in the web version so i will try to fix them asap :)
Pretty impressive making a Mario Maker style game. Two things:
Great job! (◕‿◕✿)
I will try to a variable jump so that user can adjust it according to his/her needs...i will also fix the drop timer of blocks
Thanks for the review mate! :)
That's pretty impressing for 10 days omg! I'm currently not playing most of the downloadable games, so i think you probably already know about some of the bugs, but still i'm gonna say the ones i experienced: sometimes had performance issues, together with a contant game over screen even though i was just stay still (space bar is what causes the bugs??? i don't know) and everytime i tried bumping the enemies head i also dies for some reason. Still pretty solid tho!
Thanks for playing buddy. The web version is more buggy(buggier?) than windows exe..I will fix the bugs asap in the next updates
:) Thanks again
This is a really unique idea and concept i did not see in any other game in a jam, it reminds me about super mario maker really well done, also loved how you could share your work with others my only concern is the level editor does not have the assets only squares and circle, but overall really cool game.
Thanks brother for appreciation:)
The editor didn't had assets to keep it simple but now that you said it I think it's a really really good idea to replace the symbols with actual texture
Making a level editor in ten days is crazy work, especially since youre new to game jams. Character jumps a little too high imo and movement feels a little floaty. Got potential to be a great level editor if its polished well enough. Great job!
Thanks buddy for your appreciation, regarding Character jump I was thinking of making it variable so next time the player can adjust its speed/gravity as he wants..I will implement that in next update :)
This is such a great idea!
It also fits the theme really well, I spent like 2 mins to make the first lvl, understood what it was. Then just kept on making levels xD
Ngl I was expecting a text appear on the screen "Just get started already!"
Idk why but after dying a few times, sometimes the speed of the game like just reduced. Like when u die, it slows the game for a sec but when I played again it didnt speed it up. It happened once or twice
I really wanted to play other's and share my own, but I dont know how to 😅
I clicked the buttons, but it didnt seem to do anything. Maybe its a download only feature? I played on the web
Anyways, I love the theme implementation but would also appreciate some pre-made levels to show what can be done to a new player.
Great job!
Thanks for your detailed feedback buddy :D
The game slows down after Game Over it's a feature but everyone thinks it's a bug 😭
Regarding sharing your level if you click share it copies the level as JSON text which can paste and send or comment for others to play..I will add a tooltip in next update so that players don't get confused :)
Thanks again!
Nooo, After dying it was obvious that the slo-mo was intended and it was cool too. But after restarting, it was still slow-mo. I didnt record it or anything but it definitely happened. (Maybe I can send a vid of it on discord if i encounter it again?)
Oh and thanks for the tip on copying. I did try that, but it didnt seem to copy it on my clip board. Perhaps an itch web screw up?
Id love to try it out when u update it, so hit me up later too :D
Ohh I see after dying if it was slow-mo then its definetly a bug..i think its a code issue because I have used Engine.time function quite wrong, I will try to fix it
Regarding the sharing option I checked it and yeah it wont work on the webpage but works fine in the app..so thats an itch issue but i will try some workaround to fix it (like the text gets written in real time or smth)
Will surely update you when I fix these bugs and add new features. :D Also my discord :- ary990473
Will be looking forward for an update! :)
This was interesting, the art doesn't seem to mesh well but the design is simple and intuitive. I'm also very surprised at seeing a level editor in a game jam but it works with the theme so kudos for thinking that way.
Thanks so much buddy, consider rating it :)
