Yes - I'm new to game jams!

How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about getting up in the morning, and starting your day! Also sorry but the pause menu in the level after the first cutscene :(

Very difficult, but was very fun once I got the hang of it. I never found the dash ability but I was able avoid the small snails by running large circles and shooting the big ones. Can't say there's much I would've added in terms of polish, maybe a progress meter cause the win feels a bit sudden. Well done for your first game jam, you should be very proud!

Very difficult game here. I don't know if I missed an ability, but it seems really rough when the little snail dudes are on top of you and your projectiles can't hit them. Also, try to make it so enemies aren't able to spawn on top of the player. I had one of the big spinny dudes land right on top of me already doing its attack animation. For a first jam game, though, very good! Just very punishing as well.

Thanks you so much for playing pickle, I’m so excited someone’s taken a look at it (definitely going to try yours out as well when I get home.)

But yeah, the little snails were kinda hard for me to balance so I added the dash ability (I think it’s in the version I submitted, but honestly now I don’t even remember lol). As for not spawning on top of the player… it’s high on my list of things I want to change. I have an idea of how to code it, just haven’t yet. Either way, thanks so much for the input! I’m definitely looking forward to any and all feedback from the community.
