Pretty solid game for a newbie to game jams. To preface my feedback, I'm unfamiliar with these kinds of games so I don't exactly know how they usually control, so if my feedback goes against the main goal of your game/those styles of games controls, take it with a grain of salt. That said, I did find that the breaking/stopping took more effort than expected as you'd either continue rolling for an extra second before stopping or you'd have to jump in the other direction to redirect yourself. In particular the moving, rotating platforms this became an issue with and partly for the second level as well where the room to stop/turn yourself around was very very small. Additionally with the green rotating platforms I noticed that they only influence your rolling and not your position. Like if you take your hands off the controls while on them, instead of them moving you, you'd just fall/roll off them which feels awkward since you're fighting to stay on those platforms as they move but with how the rolling works, there'll be times where you'll accidentally roll yourself right off as you try to balance yourself on those platforms. I think it'd work better if the platforms did end up moving you with them or maybe are a bit larger to allow you to adjust yourself on them while keeping up with where they're moving.

Beyond that, solid first game into the fray, good combination of sound effects, music and visuals that fit the theme of the game and craft together something pretty solid. I hope you continue the good work on game dev going forward
