Well done, super polished game. Super difficult though! The cards had interesting effects and the level design showcased the mechanics well. Great submission, congrats!

I'm guessing the lack of web build is whats keeping people away, but this this a fully realized and polished game.

All the puzzles and dexterity challenges are so well done, I'm having a blast.

The game is really hard, but very satisfying. My brain is having trouble keeping track of gaining certain cards mid flight and then having to use them again but I still got pretty far. I have two more levels of spikey land left but I've had to put it down for now.

I'm surprised you were able to accomplish so much in such a short time. 10/10 amazing game. I'll likely come back after voting is done to finish it off.

Thank you!!

I liked the concept and the puzzles were good. The art and music created a good atmosphere.

I had an issue where the text to tell you about the abilities was often at the edge of the screen, or even partly off screen, even when you needed to know what it said before you got the ability it was telling you about. I think it would help if your tutorial was a bit more direct. For example, when you go from activating an ability while on the ground, to needing to activate right after you get it, I think it would be good to tell the player something along those lines, and have that text above where the player starts, rather than most clearly visible as you are getting the card.

Developer(+2)

Hey, thank you for your feedback!! Sorry about tutorial being a bit unpolished i was just rushing to get it done 2 hours before the end of the jam, so i couldnt really make something good for the last level so i decided to just show off some of the abilities so that you know what to do later.

I really enjoyed the levels where it felt like a mix of puzzle and action rather than a game of pure mechanical finesse.

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thanks! That was kind of the idea to have a mix of both. Tho i would love to have more of insane mechanical levels and some of the mind-breaking puzzles also xd

I personally agree with Esklarski, I often found myself struggling to remember the order to use the cards in which added to the confusion for me. However, I have to admit that the art, music and actual mechanics were AMAZING! It was difficult but never felt too unforgiving that it was impossible. I think this game is definitely a hidden gem in this jam and I seriously hope your team get some more love on this one since it feels so well polished.

My main feedback for this would've been to have the abilities set to a consistent keybind but you can only use it for how many of said ability you have, it also would've been nice if you could hover over the abilities to get a reminder of what they did in game since I found myself a bit confused at times!

Overall though, this was a really well done submission and I'm genuinely really impressed at how it turned out!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Having the ability to set keybinds for a certain card is a really good idea...

I'm glad you liked the game!!

Submitted(+1)

You’re welcome!! I genuinely believe that this game was great other than the bit of confusion with keybinds, from the art and audio all the way to the mechanics. It was a really impressive submission :)

Submitted(+4)

The selection and activation of cards felt confusing. I spent a lot of time failing because I mostly had to remember a sequence of numbers and that messes with my brain 😅

I think I'd prefer if the abilities had more consistent key bindings (ie zero gravity is always 4 (or something) ) and you gained charges for the abilities instead of them being placed in the first empty slot. My suggestion at least.

But all in all I really enjoyed this game; the mechanics feel polished and the level design makes great use of the abilities you've created. Great work!

This was a really great game! This type of puzzle game is really cool, where it's a mix of puzzle solving and good timing/execution. The graphics were simple yet polished, and the audio was really solid too!

This is by far the most difficult game in the jam that I've tried thus far (I've tried 51 including this one at the moment), but I managed to get through all the levels!

Great work!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!!! And good job on beating the game (good luck getting all gold medals (some of them are impossible tho lol))

Submitted(+4)

I couldn't progress much, the difficulty was really high, but it's still an impressive project. The visuals are great, the music is good and the concept is pretty fun.  In some moments, having to be precise ends up being very frustrating, because if you fail or if you need to to try again you either need to leave the level or replay the entire chapter, instead of just the level. Still a great submission!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah the game depends on timing for a big portion of the levels, sometimes accidentally leaning too much into it. If we had more time to test the levels, we definitely would have tweaked the timing of some. Also, you can press 'R' to restart the level. The tutorial was supposed to show a message to inform you if you stay inactive for too long but it was never tested if it actually showed it haha.

Submitted(+4)

Very nice, timing is really quick and hard to get on some level, but really nice start for something that actually could be something big

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Im actually thinking about rewriting this game in unity (im mainly a unity developer) to see better the differences between them and just to play around.

Submitted(+4)

Very good. It really starts going when using powers in midair. The last level had a problem where you would go between the two red blobs on the top and use the sucky power. One of the red orbs from the right would fly over the ball. I also liked with the clone how it could either be used as a disposable ball or one to be swapped into later. Best game in the jam so far.

Developer (2 edits) (+3)

Hey, thank you very much! This is our first game ever made for a jam, we are very happy that people are liking it.

I actually made the spiky land chapter :). I appreciate the feedback. You're actually not the only one experiencing this. After giving my brother and other people to try it out, I noticed that ball being a problem. Personally, I beat the level by gliding at the perfect time so I move horizontally, and pull right at the end, but since this game has multiple ways to solve each level, I guess it was bound to happen :D. If we had more time, the levels would have went through more vigorous testing. We'll keep that in mind next time ;)

Submitted(+2)

I dealt with the last level in the same way.

Submitted(+4)

It was a little tricky to master the controls, but I enjoyed whizzing around each level. The art style is great and I had fun! :)

Developer(+2)

Awesome! The game does lack a little bit of gradual difficulty progression, this is our first game jam after all 😅. Since we all made the game, the controls feel natural to us, so I guess we need to keep in mind things like this next time. Thank you for the feedback!

Submitted(+4)

I started to get a feel for how to flow with the game and using mid air powers after a few levels, but I feel the difficulty curve was pretty spiky, even in the tutorial.

Even so, very good polish. Very fun concept. Excellent work overall. team.

The pixel art was very clean and attractive too.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We are glad you liked it, this is our first game jam :D

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

Very cool and well polished. I only found myself wishing for a tooltip so I could remember what the different cards did, but still had a ton of fun.

Developer(+3)

Thanks! Yeah the tooltip is something we definitely overlooked. We appreciate you playing it!

Submitted(+4)

Genuinely very very fun. Highly polished. If i cam across this on newgrounds back in the day I would have been obsessed.

Developer(+3)

Thanks! We appreciate it!

Developer(+3)

Thanks man! I spent last 3 days polishing and working on the game feel, that was really worth it.
