How does your game fit the theme?
The entire goal of the game is to "get started" because it is supposed to be an analogy for getting started as a game dev with the main character being you, the purple slime being your doubts, and the items you collect being things you use in game development.

I love the game! the badeline (from celeste) esque fight worked really well into the story!! also that rewind mechanic was very very smooth! the movement and art were also sooo goood. i loved the glowing text, it really added to the atmosphere and ambience.
i will say, during the fight, i tried to rewind in one section and it jettisoned me down to the bottom left of the map into the void..?
edit: i played it through again and could not replicate it but did notice that sometimes if you jump right you can float in mid air while being able to move and it dosnt stop till you jump...
but overall, really great game :3
p.s. the silly writing in the corners made me laugh ^w^
p.p.s. i think the ending screen is very clever
Thank you for your feedback! I definitely took some inspiration from badeline when designing the boss fight! The problem with the rewind in the boss is that sometimes you will hit a rewind from later in the fight earlier than your supposed to. I think I can fix it after the jam! I'm glad you liked the extra dialogue when you go the wrong way!
Nice game! It somehow reminded me of an old game called Wizball, but better. I like how controlling the ball is a bit tough but not frustrating (what would I have done without undo!). Also, I love the atmosphere you created: the lighting, the palette you picked, the texts, and the sudden enemy. (Oh, and I did win the game =P ) Well done!
Thank you for your kind words and for creating the list of games from people in the stream that crashed!
This was a very fun game to play, i enjoyed a lot. The mechanics work pretty well and the boss fight was fun. Really great game.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This game was very fun and creative and the mechanics were well thought out. The level was also designed very intuitively and allowed the progression to feel natural while keeping the "maze" feeling, which is very impressive and hard to pull off! great job on your first jam!
Thank you for your feedback! I spent a good bit of time designing the level so I'm glad it paid off!
Fun: love the gameplay, the story and narrative are good as well, very well made, though the movement is a bit too fast and slippery, I made my game more tight in movement similar to Celeste, still great work.
Presentation: very good art style, simple yet good, the sound design is good as well. Did you use assets or did you draw?
creativity: great idea, the story is really good, and the start "press A" was creative, fits the theme well, nice job
Thank you for playing the game! I do think the movement could be tighter. That's the one thing I didn't accidentally take from Celeste. I made everything in the game including the art. I'm glad you like the style!
That's great, the art was amazing as well, and I was inspired by Celeste as well. I'd love for you to try my game, I'm sure you're gonna love it😁
I already played your game! It's pretty fun!
I liked the ending. Having the other words wipe away was kind of funny. I liked the main character and the little roll animation. The beginning screen was also pretty cool. Only thing is that sometimes the movement was too fast, and I fell off (which I guess was the point of the reset), and occasionally I glitched it and the characters started rolling in mid-air. These issues weren't too game-breaking, and I was able to get to the end. Nice job overall!
Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you could still finish the game with those problems!
Hiya PrincessKirby! You made such a good game! I love the story behind it as I think all of us newbies have been in the same boat, battling our doubts and "what if" thinking along the way. "Maybe I'll get something wrong, maybe I can't do it, what if nobody likes it, what if I don't like it".... all those thoughts I have had so many times when it came to developing my own game. You captured that element really well, and I love the ending message! I'm here to say to you, that I really like your game and squash those doubts too as you did amazing and I absolutely want more! I also REALLY loved the transition from the letter A to us as the ball? No idea how you did that but so so cool! The gameplay is also really good, being able to stick to walls and roll up them is an awesome idea. I didn't encounter any issues except my bad platforming and falling down lol, but if I did end up falling, I can just pick myself back up again with the undo! Very cool and amazing first game! Love to see what else you make and develop in the end as I am all here for it! ❤❤
PS: Love your name by the way!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Something funny about the climbing up walls is that it originally was a bug but I decided to keep it because it was fun!
Lol! That's awesome, I love it when bugs become features! Thank you for keeping that in haha!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll check out your game as soon as I get a chance!
The style and mechanics of this game are really fun to play even if the movement feels a little sensitive. There were some collision bugs with the ground that would cause me to float for a second or two, but other than that the game feels really well made.
Thank you for playing! The floating bug is one bug that I need to fix but I'm glad you still had fun!
Nice good job! I like the little text where you try to go the wrong way. And the text about getting started fits theme well:) Especially the parts about asking if "its too hard", thoughts we often have. Solid:)
Thank you! I had a fun time putting text in the places where you can go the wrong way.
Maybe its just me , i prefer slower movement. But the game itself is fun enough. And jokes on you i won the game :D . Would love to know what you think about my game.
Thank you for playing and giving feedback! You’re not the only one wanted slower movement so I’ll fix that after the jam. I do my best to play the game of everyone who played mine so I’ll play yours when I get the chance!
False advertising ! I won the game !
It's very good for a first jam even tho I encountered multiple funny bugs along the way
Thank you! I definitely need to get a few bugs worked out.
Really fun game, I just had an issue in the fight against violet where the undo was respawning me in an out-of-bounds area, but aside from that, the game was really nice !
Thank you for the feedback! There are multiple things in the boss fight I need to fix and I'm glad you brought it up and still had some fun!
I will win this game :) Really awesome game, whether its your first jam or not! There's so much charm and you created a really cool world feel that started with the impossible quiz esque press A to start thing. The music fits the game perfectly, the narration is paced really well and is funny and enjoyable to read. The undo mechanic fits the theme and makes the punishingly fast movement feel not so bad when you mess up. The movement itself feels very unique, and even if it is a bit difficult to control I still had fun with it. The end win screen is awesome and the bit with the paint can changing the message was a really neat twist. Overall, I very much enjoyed my playthrough and think you have an excellent entry. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you so much for your comment! This means a lot to me!
neat game! the narrative is interesting and makes you want to play more! the game mechanics are nice! but the player moves too fast
Thank you for the feedback! Was it a specific part of the movement that was too fast or all of the movement overall?
