In my mind, the key to great ambient tracks is in the instrument selection and sound design and matching that with the vibe or atmosphere of the accompanying visual stimuli. From the first second, you captured my attention and not only matched the visual of the image you chose, but provided guidance on the emotion that you want me to feel in experiencing the image. Initially I felt a sense of dread, but the emergence of the steady hi-hat rhythm helped add a little more confidence into the emotion, making it feel more like a sense of determination. The liminality of the image is very thought-provoking and was a great selection for this jam! This is really wonderful background music that belongs in some sort of post-apocalyptic movie.
