A simple but oh so effective little game. I'm a sucker for a grapple hook mechanic. You've nailed this one.

My only suggestion is maybe something the player can collect that gives them a little recharge while swinging or floating. This could open the door for more difficult areas to traverse. Might be a little much but maybe an online race mode to race against friends, or an online leader board.

Love grappling hooks and jetpacks, always a quick way to make me enjoy a platformer. Great job!

A pretty cool concept for a platformer game, reminds me of something you'd see on old flash game websites - had some minor issues with not being able to see hazards before they come into view and controls take some getting used to; but overall a pretty fun game that has some replayability due to the whole speedrun and timer idea!

Yes I was trying to think what it reminded me of aswell. There must have been a flash game like this but cant remeber the name of it.  The speedrun idea was thrown in to give it a bit of replayability. I did the music but did aload of playtesting and found it personally more fun trying to find the quickest way through the checkpoints ๐Ÿ™‚

This game definitely prioritizes gameplay, and that's a thing I definitely love. The idea is genuinely great, though the controls are hard to learn. Also the fact that you have to wait all the way till the stamina bar recharges fully before playing again is kind of annoying and making the game sometimes feel a bit slower paced.

I think the stamina bar was put in place to try and stop people being able to easily fly through the level. I think given more time though this would have been balanced better. The coins do restore stanima so if you can balance collecting coins, float, checkpoint and swinging you need to rest less.

This is pretty awesome, This give me a new look about game jams, Where I should prioritize gameplay other than visuals. Especially when my games take like... 1 minute to finish, Unlike your about... 10 minute game!

Thank you for you feedback ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yeah I think we would both admit art is not our strong point. Our team was me doing the music/sound and Ichit doing the programming. We didn't have a dedicated artist. Glad you found it pretty awesome. We would have liked to make it even longer but we had kinda reached what we wanted to do with the game.

Yeah the controls are hard to master. I think given more time we would have aimed to make it control better. Sadly we both found out we wouldn't have the time to dedicate to it for the final days of the Jam so quickly wrapped it up and published it

Glad you found it pretty fun ๐Ÿ˜Š
