I... have... to admit being stuck on lvl11. Lv9 gave me a hard time too! But it's nice being stuck on a hard problem, the opposite would have been boring 😁
Super solid entry all around, very well done!

Gotta love the snake sub-theme this year, good job run game

You both made really great snake games! It would be really helpful to get feedback from either of you on my snake game entry, should you have the time for it. Either way, one things for sure, the polish on both of your games blow mine out of the water so good job!

Ok so here we go, Only Linus for now I'll ask Dylan for his input once he finished work:
I must strongly disagree I really like your implementation of the idea, I can't seem to find what engine you used but I really want to joink your screen-shake that gives really good feedback when you hit a wall.

the quick access menu with short-cuts on the right is something I'm beating myself up with for not having thought about, It enables to stay focused on the game and fully immersed : love it.

It took me about 4 levels to realise that your apples were not bombs I needed to avoid ^^, on that note it took some time for me to click that the optimal way to play is to fill out the screen, so maybe a shot tutorial or hints would go a long way.

Shaders, my man shaders are the way to go to make your game look/feel 20 times better than it actually is.

This is our first game Jam so maybe this is not true but I have the feeling that way more people are willing to try out browser games compared to actual downloading files.

Last thing, your game has a really big pixel size, that can seem "unpolished" to some people, quick fix I've seen around and that we kinda used is embedding your game into a viewport that pretends to be itself a screen, a phone, a CRT, a monitor.

Have that Sprite be in a hight pixel density and display your game on said screen -> game in a game it's usually a bit more appealing, but again I could be wrong

Level 8 is my favourite one. This is a really good sokoban-like mechanic, I also love the addition of the apples as optional pickups (Something I haven't seen too often in more simple sokoban games). I think the difficulty uncomfortably ramps up by level 9, although that's probably just my lack of puzzle game experience. Good game.

Thank you ! I do agree with you on the difficulty side, it would have needed a few more medium level to ease the transition from kind of easy to hard.

Reminds me of snakebird!

I actually watched GMTK’s old video about snakebird and puzzles while researching how to do levels !

compared to not being able to inverse camera Y, is it more or less frightening ?

The later puzzles are making me mental but this game has some genius logic and a fantastic style. Love it

Super fun snake puzzle game. It is very well put together, and it was super satisfying when the snake moved. It is super well put together, and it feels really good to play. It would also mean a lot if you could review my game. This is my first game jam.

I really enjoyed playing this puzzle game. The sounds, the snake's movements, the animations—everything fits together really well. Great job!

¸Well, this is very similar to the game I submitted hahaha (take a look if you like, also a sokoban-like grid based puzzle game about biting your tail). However, your game is definitely more difficult (which I enjoyed quite a lot). I got stuck on level 9 and decided to move on, but I will come back to it because I'm eager to figure out the solution. Very nice puzzle making! I also really like the stats you added on the side, I think this is a really nice addition especially for a game like this with multiple solutions. Well done, great game!

Thank you very much !

Level 9 is definitively the start of the harder levels, and there is 10 more level after that haha !

A tip just for you, my tail-biting friend : you can move a box and move another box and then setup everything like dominoes ;) You have this !
