Great use of music. A lot of the games assets and text seemed fuzzy and stretched. Also, at some point the game just went black and stopped playing. Regardless, the way you drip fed new abilities was cool. It made playing the same level over and over again quite enjoyable. I think if you where to continue this further, adding some more enemy verity would be neat. Congrats on finishing.

Historical Accuracy
Based on real events in 793 at the sacking of Lindisfarne, and with attempts to incorporate realistic outfits for both factions within the scope of pixel art. Artistic license taken with the scenario - a one-sided massacre doesn't make for fun gameplay!
Thematic Relevance
It's about Vikings (although to be historically consistent, that word isn't used in-game as it wasn't a contemporary term) and they're being horrible to monks. This definitely is true to history!
