Was pretty fun, some screens got tedious pretty quick (e.g., first one) because I was just redoing the same stuff for progress. Addmitedly, on that one I also thought I had to get to the collectible to get to the  next level. Crouching felt a bit out of place as it seemed to be mostly there so that you'd fit through one block horizontal gaps. That's all small stuff, was an overall cool concept with solid exexuction and did enojy playing it.

Thanks for the feedback! I realized those points too halfway through when i was playtesting, but i was already 3 days into the jam and didn't have time to revamp that. The first level  tweak should've been easy though, that's entirely my bad.

Super clean concept ! I love it ! How did you do that awesome light shadow effect when the character is going in it ?

Developer

Thank you! At its most basic, it's just using godot's built in lighting system with a directional light on the scene, and light occluders on the tiles and player. All of the added effects are part of the dithering shader and godot's environment system to give a slight bloom effect.

Nice game, original idea with using corpses is similar to my game. Loved the art, work with lightning, some level design decisions too, like chaining spawn points. However interactable point need a bit more readability, rather then just white squares. Crouching mechanic and corpses that can fall through holes seems unnatural, since character is the same size, level is a grid and you feel like you can go through tight spaces yourself, so that feels like an artificial block.

I loved the sound design and art style. I don't think I understood some of the levels or mechanics, because I had to use my bodies to build a staircase to beat some rooms. But overall great game!
