Really clever twist on the loop theme, I had fun with the game. There's a lot of potential in this idea if you keep working on it. It become even more clear when I played the finished build. Great job!

Well done :)

The idea of having a clone with this positive and negative effect is super clever and it gets very complex quite fast.

I have tried the fully version to see what the game looks like with more polish, so I'll give a word: the challenge is quite nice to commit player into using efficiently the mechanics. (I have already rate the game before test the 2nd ver)

Thanks man! I'm happy you liked, specially the second version.

And don't worry, the ratings in the Jam are supposed to be related to the official submission anyway. Otherwise, it would be cheating ...hahaha

Your game has such a creative concept—I really enjoyed it! The beginning felt a bit challenging since I wasn’t entirely sure what to do at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was super satisfying. Great job!

Developer

Thank you, man!
In case you played the Jam version, I invite you to play the polished version that I could finish just after the Jam 's deadline:
https://giabeni.itch.io/gladiators-echo

It's has much better instructions, pacing and rules, as well as A LOT of general improvements.

I'm happy you liked anyway!

one of the better implementation of this idea I've seen so far, but I don't think the hud works, and when I died the game didn't end I had to alt f4, that aside, pretty well done. The biggest usual issue of this kind of recursive player input loop is that the camera doesn't support it, but this is actually pretty solid.

Developer

Thank you very much, man! It means a lot.
You're right, the version you played was completely unfinished...unfortunatelly, I couldn't upload a polished version on time.

However,  I released a new page with the latest version, muuuuuch better than the one you played. It's seems like a game now :)
