Awesome idea and a pretty neat execution too! The visuals are cool looking and cohesive, only tweak I would suggest is making the draggable icons 'pop' a little more from their background on the left. As other comments have said, planning phase for sure. All in all a great submission!
Really nice art style, the concept is pretty good too. I want to second the idea of having a planning phase though. And maybe a rewind/review phase where you can see the last path the character took without having to replay the level.
Very interesting and creative. I would’ve loved to plan the entire path in advance and then just hit a "play" button to see what happens. The mechanic encourages you to take your time and think, but also requires quick reactions at certain points. I think this game has a lot of potential.
Same, great concept of a game. A bit of time to set everything up would have made the balance great.
This was very fun. I love the color palette you used. It fitted the night walk theme very well, just like the music did. I enjoyed doing the same levels again with increased difficulty. Nice idea!
I love the idea! Dragging commands into the level is such an interesting idea. Although, it is very frustrating to constantly need to go back to the command tray. Would have made for a much better experience if I could use the number keys or something as hot keys to bring out the commands faster.
Other than that, I really liked the pixel art, its clean and serves the game well!
Good job.
I was immediately captivated by the game's unique art, but the gameplay is what truly shines. The core mechanic of dragging commands onto the map to program the character's movements is both innovative and deeply satisfying. The puzzles are challenging yet fair, making this a standout entry in the competition.
A lovely game that requires planning and timing! The mildly infuriating obstacles were clever and forces the player to loop the level again and again in order to reach the goal and I think that's pretty wonderful too! Finishing the levels and reaching the end of the game gave me satisfaction, making it feel worth it to complete the game xD
The pixel art for the sprites and the background are spectacular and the music and sound effects are extremely fitting as well. Good job on the game!
really cool idea, I love it! There are some minor bugs where the player gets stuck but that nothing you guys cant solve. Overall really good!
I like the idea, the graphics fit the vibe. The mechanic is cool, but maybe dragging them from below would feel less clunky than the left. Especially with the level with the spikes coming towards the player it felt a bit akward dragging the jumps in. That said, well done!
I enjoyed your game. It was a clever idea to repeat the same levels but add new traps. It was somewhat nice because you remember the steps from the last version and could apply them to the new version plus new actions you had to learn. While I did like the dragging mechanic having the origin only on the back wall made the game difficult when the player was far away from the back wall, having them on both sides or the celling would fix this i think. The art also created a great atmosphere.
Dragging out the commands got quite slow, also I liked how the game set expectations and then jumpscared you by changing levels you thought you knew, but once you've seen the jumpscare, died and respawned, it becomes way less of a reactions game and more just planning where you're putting what commands. Very creative and unique from other games :D
Very nice concept, it starts to get a bit difficult going forward with the drag mechanic
love the music and art, but the drag to place makes a bit too difficult at the 3rd loop and onward, I knew were to place it but I was just way too slow
