the player character's animation is quite impressive, but the rest of the game is a bit rough.

combat feels strange: it felt like sometimes I could attack and sometimes I couldn't. same with the double jump. the player's state feels weird and unpredictable as a result.

some less "gamey" sounds for jumping etc. would feel like they fit the game's aesthetic a bit better.

A lot of work is going into the presentation, and I do like me some platformers!

Love the character design and animations, and very ambitious with the 2.5D perspective! Not sure how to jump up high enough to reach some of the platforms though. I think a tutorial or just a pop up text explaining the controls would help

Loved the art! Disliked the level design

Cool game! I liked the animations of the player and the music! Couldn't figure out how to get past the 3rd area though

Thats not too bad, artwork very nice if you miss the second jump you have to reset but it has a nice history as well

This has to be the best looking game I've played in this Jam so far. It feels truly unique and I could feel the passion behind every pixel. Unfortunately I got stuck about, I think, midway through the level? you had to make a really high ledge that I couldn't reach, even with jumping on the enemy below.  A real shame because I would have loved to see the ending :(

Still though, very cool! I really hope to see more from you guys.
