It's pretty tricky to wrap your head around the mechanic of carrying your checkpoint and the looping character around being the same action. But there are some cool puzzles in here.
Thank you for the feedback. We were worried the mechanic would be unintuitive and I think there's definitively improvements that could be made in the controls and tutorialisation, but nice to know you enjoyed the puzzles :)
Carrying your checkpoint around is a brilliant idea! And the Dr is hillarious. Excelent fun puzzles <3
Great puzzle platformer! The animations were great and the death animation was funny. In addition, the tutorial panels greatly helped my understanding of how the game mechanics worked. The art style reminds me of the OddWorld games too! Nice job all around, I enjoy the serpent scientist :)
Cool game! I loved the zapped animation lol, I wish I could create a ton of clones of myself and do that haha. The art style kinda reminds me of PS2 graphics, especially in the thumbnail. I enjoyed it :D
I love the graphics, the idea is very cool and the effects too. That's a very good and pleasant game. Congrats! :)
Super fun idea!
I really really liked the art style (but I might just be very very biased as I love old style graphics)
thank you so much! glad the art style pops out to you. i can say we share the same bias :)
This was a fun game. I liked having to think about where I was going to need my spawn point and how my actions would affect the next loop. I think the tutorial could have done with a few words as I found it a little hard to follow initially.
This gameplay was really interesting and not something I have played before. Always way harder than I thought but it made me want to keep going. Well done! The music is really nice and fits, and the art is cool. I love the vibe it goes with!
Its also really cool how you did the UI and the explanations of things. A lot of thought has been put in this it seems to me!
Thank you for the kind words! Its good to know the tutorials were clear enough, the main mechanic can admittedly be a little unintuitive. I was hoping to not interrupt playing the game and walls of text often get ignored, so I'm happy that the explanations worked.
I love the retro aesthetic, it’s very unique and gives the game a lot of character.
Fun little game, really nice artwork
Thank you! Glad you liked the art.
Cool idea. the mission where you get zapped reminded me of crash bandicoot. awesome animation :)
Loved it! 5/5 Artstyle, brings me back to PS1 and the factory aesthetic makes me think of Oddworld. It took me a bit to understand the mechanic, and after I understood it it took me a bit to put it into practice consistently. I think that is the mark of a good mechanic. Level 2 might have been a bit too hard, I almost feel like there are some levels that could have been put before it to help me get used to the mechanic without needing to keep retrying a tricky jump. Regardless, I loved it.
Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing.
Really appreciate the love for the art style — I’ll pass that on to our artist, who poured literal blood and sweat into every pixel. Your Oddworld comparison will make their day!
Interesting point about level 2 — after testing it a lot ourselves, it didn’t feel too hard anymore, but I can totally see how it might be a bit much early on for new players. As a little tip: you don’t need to meet your ghost mid-air — just ride it from the beginning and jump off after it hits the electric trap. Makes it way easier! 😄
Super happy you enjoyed the mechanic. Let us know if you beat any of the dev times — we’re watching
