How does your game fit the theme?
The game was made for the GMTK GameJam 2025 with the theme "Loop". A 9 to 5 job like being a delivery driver is a repetitive job as you are continuously doing the same "mundane" task. However on a more mechanical level, the game fits the theme as well. Each time you finish a delivery, a clone of your former self is being spawned. This clone will drive the exact same route you previously drove. Each successful loop, another car is spawned, making the streets more and more overfilled. You have to drive more ridiculous each loop to avoid crashing.

Creative idea and a very fun game great job! 🎮
A nice interpretation of a loop!
After a short period of getting used to it, I found the controls to be very pleasant and smooth. The tile set is nicely crafted and the colors are not too contrasting (do I spot the Endesga32/64 palette? o:), the sounds fit the pixelated style. The main menu is excellently designed and the integration of the volume slider is also great!
I would have preferred an option to brake instead of racing past the houses at full speed, but I think that’s more or less the point of the game and a rather subjective matter. And I don’t know if it’s a bug, but my ghost drivers suddenly exploded after a short time. I’d consider it intentional and it would make sense, given the working conditions, lmao.
Nice little game and great work!
No breaking was part of the design and also social commentary as delivery drivers basically dont have time to stop as they are already late for their next delivery due to tightly packed delivery schedule. Ghost drivers sometimes collide with each other or hit obstacles due to inaccuracies that are beyond our control. Also once you finish your tour, all vehicles get blown up. So you might have had one of those 2 things happen to you.
Thanks!
do note the rival cars exploding is also social commentary for this phenomenon called "I thought it would be funny"
I am afraid its peak
It was pretty hard to control the car initially but when i managed to control it, it was pretty fun and also challenging at the same time. Really like the game's pixel art style, looks good. Also the concept of respawing the previous self at each loop was really a unique way to increase the challenge over time. Very well designed game. Good work!
Not sure if I got better at driving or just better at avoiding myself, but either way it was a blast!
Thank you!
Road rage simulator. Turns out I am a HORRIBLE driver. Nice take on the theme, and niceto play, though it felt that the slippery controls were added just to make stuff more difficult instead of having gameplay emerge from our own actions. Overall fun!
We should have really fixed that sprite. Its actually not slippery at all but because we just have 8 directional sprites, the 360° turning looks like its slippery. We learned that lesson now for the next time.
Creative idea! I feel like the difficulty ramps up a little slowly though, having less time may help.
That is interesting. We had in playtesting a lot of people who actually struggled, especially at later stages with the timer. We did not want to make it too difficult considering there are so many people with different skillsets out there. I tried to balance it in a way that its as accessible as possible. Funnily enough, some in person playtesters that I had managed to run down the timer entirely, so I was even worried that the timer might not be enough.
But overall, the ramp up is too slow. In hindsight, it should have been only 2 parcels initially, maybe 3 at later stages etc.
This game is so hard yet so fun! The car is a lil slippery but thats fine, great work! :D
Overall I had fun playing the game and decently like the art style. Once I gotten use to the controls I was able to deliver a decent amount of packages.
Took a bit of time to adjust to the controls but the game is fun. I like the ghost mechanic, but felt like it took a bit too long before it became relevant. I think that it's missing something to complete the theme like a secondary objective or some chaos but overall i enjoyed it.
Well there is only so much we can do in the limited timeframe we had. I think it could have ramped up quicker in a way, probably 2 packages a round to be delivered or just one and then slowly scale it up. Tbh, we did not even think about anything more because making the game even work was stressful in the first place with so many little cogs in the machinery. But happy to hear that you had fun :D
Game was great, controls were a bit weird at first, but good after a few tries. The menu is very nice! I liked the sliders under the road :). Good job!
Its a fun idea and the delivering packages fits the general gameplay well. I would make it a bit more hecktick but that might be a personal opinion. Also please make the car drift in the mud would be fun. Also apologise to the lady in house 4 on easystreet I think I slammed into her garage a couple of times.
I like the game idea, it was fun to play! Great job!
The controls are great once you get the hang of it. The artstyle is great. Overall Great Game 🙌
Controls took a second to click, but got really fun once it did! Was quite fun once you get a somewhat deep run where you now have a mental map of the general map + what routes you've previously taken.
Makes me happy to hear it. I cant even get super high rounds, I just die to myself all the time haha. Thanks for playing it and im glad you had fun :D
Nice game, felt like an arcade game like paperboy but its colored and you have a car instead of a bike ( :
I dont even know that game, but that is cool to hear. Ill look into that. Curious, how far did you get with your deliveries?
Delivered:36 Time:7:53:05s Rounds:12
Nice game and feel, I struggled a bit with the janky controls (it's not really my jam) but I can see how some woudl love it :)
Thanks for playing it regardless. I think the common agreement is that the way the sprites work currently for the player dont work out. We'll take that into consideration. Anything else you specifically liked or didnt like? Would love the most detailed feedback if you had the chance so we can improve in the future.
Neat concept, and with cute pixel art. Control style was not my favourite, a bit too much on the wonky side, but still manageable. Congrats and good luck!
I really like how the driving feels, despite how janky it is (or because of it?). I especially like that the actual direction you're going isn't quite synced with the spritesheet, so you have to feel out where youre actually going and constantly balance your movement.
Haha, people are kinda torn on it, the general consensus is that people are confused by it. I kinda like it personally it kinda has this whacky feeling. Thanks for playing, hope you had fun.
Not the only mail delivery looping game i've played, but certainly the best one! Driving feels weird, but in the best way possible. Cruising around was fun and the gameplay loop was nice and tight. Great job!
Thank you very much.
I tried a few times and this was the max I could go lol.
Pretty cool game here. The pixel art was cool and the audio definitely fit the vibe that y'all were going for. Also loved the art for the buildings. Felt nice and cosy like in a jrpg
I think the main mechanic is pretty cool, and discovering it myself was definitely pretty fun. That said, I have some issues with the main game loop .....
I think the way driving is handled could've been a little better. The main problem being that it's a little hard to tell precisely what direction you're going in sometimes since the car's sprites only change after a hard enough turn. Admittedly this only happens when you're driving on a straight road, but it was the reason I ended up crashing sometimes ( Maybe just a skill issue though lol )
Another issue I had was with the blue house markers. Once these move towards the corners of the screen, they're basically unnoticeable. Along with that I think they could've been a different colour entirely since they kinda blended into the rest of the game's visuals as well since blue is such a primary colour
All that said though, I'd say you guys put out a pretty cool game here all things considered. Kudos to y'all
Yeah, we were limited with our sprites a lot due to the perspective. I think the tank controls how they were are fine, however the visualization wasnt clear and readable, its feedback we heard often. But time constraints made it not possible to be fixed. We also got pretty used to it as devs. The delivery icons were also on our list, but again time was the limiting factor. Our main programmer also wanted to change the way they are displayed but time again....
Lots learned with this game. Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback.
