Nice idea, solid execution. I like how useful dying is, the branching paths in level design, diffuculty slope balance, checkpoint system. Gravestone positioning could be adjusted if mid-air so you always can climb previous stone (now it's possible to die too high). Phrases ended at some point, I guess you could make them loop. And I'm not sure it's the most fitting music for the atmosphere, but it adds some juice. Overall good game, good job!

The feedback is greatly appreciated

Nice job.

This was cool, could definitely see it being expanded on!

This was quite enjoyable!  I could see a whole platformer based around this.

What a joy walking on my grave to the goal.

The music got a bit TOO MUCH and muted it. Also if the loop count meant something it would make me worry about my tumbstone amount, but I just splater my soul all over till the end.

Really nice idea! I liked the music a lot as well. I think one small tweak that would have made the game a lot better would have been one way collision on platforms, sometimes getting stuck on them was a bit frustrating when too many stacked. Well done!

sadly i don't see how this fits the theme...

I liked the game all tho i didn't read the instructions so i beat the whole game by just running on the spikes till i made it to the end. Overall i enjoyed the game.

It’s a simple game, but I enjoyed playing it to the end. I like the sprite of the character and the background, but the platforms looks out of place in comparison, they also looks a bit blurry.

Submitted

Really creative! I think reducing the movement speed slightly or increasing the size of the grave platform slightly might make the controls feel a little tighter. No complaints otherwise!

Submitted

Very creative. I died a ton, but it was fun doing so.

Feels like a level editor xD
I surely died a lot to find out I could create my own platforms by pressing Q. I love the player sprite and animations. Although, I didn't quite sure understand the ending choices and "final boss" (?)

Developer

Fair lol, it's kind of meant to be left to intterpretation

I died a lot... a lot.. haha..

Very cool, unintentional tombstone platform created, easter egg found, fun achieved

Dear diary, today I build myself some stairs by dying a lot

I liked it ! Quick and fun. The mechanic is cool.

Cool game! The checkpoints were very much appreciated and I liked the level layout. I think coyote timing would've made it slightly more forgiving though. Good entry!
