How does your game fit the theme?
It sort of fits the theme. Mainly, it was based on how boring life is when you're doing the same thing over and over again. However, I kinda lost track.

I NEED MORE EPIC MUSIC YEAHHHHH

Hilarious narrative tied with the gameplay. Really loved the twists from the exit loop button after playing for the "Boring" ending :D. The amount of narratives with good humor made a great combination that I can enjoy during the clicker & walking sims. The two minigames are simple yet well done---although I failed at the jumping minigame before the first jump lol. It is really impressive how you managed to create 2 mini games and so much content in only 4 days!!!

Regretting that I didn't discover this game sooner haha. The reason I found this game post jam---it's simple. It's funny how your "generic" game ended up having a big twist also.....Wait what twist? I made a platformer and you made a clicker!

Coming back to the topic on the game itself: I really loved the narratives. In my game I had a big issue of the narratives being in pieces(literally) and distant from the game itself. Your game blended the narrative part perfectly---really loved the walking sim jokes & reflections. Maybe the real generic clicker game was the friends we made along the way...

I feel like this project has a lot of potential---it could be a small interesting addition to have more appear gradually as the player click more. However, in a jam, I'm not expecting any more than a 5 minute content(which your game already exceeded)!

Sorry about the bunny game. Idk why but it works well in the editor but not in the build. Glad you liked it!

love the articulate design of the button

I obviously did not do what I needed to in order to access the fun gameplay. After a hundred or so clicks I lost interest.

What fun gameplay?

Very cool twist on the clicker type game. I really enjoyed the narrator.

Dang, very impressive for your first jam game. This game definitely wasn't what I expected it to be, that's for sure. I think, with some more polish and some extra content, this could be a fun genre deconstructing game similar to There Is No Game.

I also love putting epic music over everything XD. Thank you for the laughs, reminded of There Is No Game. I really enjoyed this entry <3

Very enjoyable game, meta-notes and tone akin to The Stanley Parable and Portal.  I was very motivated to earn my epic music back.

Developer

just making sure. Did you press the break the loop button?

Yes I did! My favourite was the walking sim. Might be because my bunny died immediately. :(

Very fun entry and game! Very good game, I'd only recommend putting in some voice lines in the future, other than that it was fun and I smiled a lot while playing it - best of luck!

I liked the idea of a narrative clicker! And I liked your thoughts. And the metaphor! And no matter how you wrote that it was boring - I wasn't bored, because I learned how to write a macro for my mouse to quickly click 1000 times!!! And it was fun!

just making sure, did you press the break the loop button?

Haha of course!! I played the game twice :)

Thanks! I'm happy you liked it! 👍

I think I saw the meaning of life while playing this game, I’m not sure though

nice vibe like those easiest games/hardest games genre- you know that don't click the button type games, etc.  lot of laughs in this one.

For this, my first GMTK game jam submission, I opted for a word-search game that implements the LOOP theme.

Please give my word-search game a try, it's nothing too fancy but very playable.  Please try and rate if you can, just want to get it out there!

I really like what you have going here. The only thing I'd suggest is adding some voice lines to the subtitles. But other than that, I had a smile playing through the whole game (even the walking sim lol). Good work!

There is no game being one of my favourites games, I like this game idea quite a bit. Execution definitely needs some work, but for a jam game this is really good. If you decide to continue on this, voice lines would be cool. The mini games here are a bit long in my opinion. The writing is pretty good making the idea work well. Impressive jam entry!

So the title didn't lie, it was a generic clicker game. Go to 1000, and that's it, I see. I guess there was that button at the start, but the disenbodied voice told me to not click it, so I didn't. End of review, good job, bye!

More seriously, this game has the same vibes as There is no Game. Obviously, some polish is needed to really make the core idea shine, but it was nice to try out all the different mini games ^^

By the way, are said mini-games inspired by the jam's theme too, or am I making things up? Loopings, jumping over a rotating log, walking non-stop all kinda fill the "Loop" theme. If it is intentionnal, well thought!

I saw you were trying to make it into game developement, and that's a good start, keep improving, good job! =)

Developer(+1)

The mini games did kinda follow the theme. It wasn’t what I had in mind when I made them. But at the end I realized they kinda fit the theme. Maybe except for the last one 👍

Submitted

Ahah, I see, so that wasn't intentional, but it worked out in the end! ^^

Submitted

Haha, "the developer worked hard on that button"... Congrats on a fun entry!

I did NOT expect this game to make me feel things the way it did. Goddamn, good job!

Intriguing game! Reminds me of There Is No Game which I enjoyed a lot! The humor was great and the narrator felt like a real character. The plane game was hard to control since the plane could only go 180 degrees up and down and stopped rotating when it was directly up and down. Besides that, nice work overall!
