Today will be remembered as little spider robot day, in commemoration of all who died in the process of me playing this game

A very nifty platformer with a lot of charm! You made the main character too cute, I felt like I was being quite mean every time I had to die to become a platform for the next guy! I thought the platforming itself was fun but perhaps could be made a bit more responsive, like the cooldown between jumps could have been shorter. Other than that, really great entry!

Thank you for spending time to play my game, and yes I hear your recommendations about player mechanics, a common issue. Thanks tho, and if anyone reads this please check Flo's game, it's genuinely one of the best in the jams!

Thankfully lil robo can never truly die :' ) it cute with it lil legs! fun game!

Developer

Ha ha, thanks for playing!

Something about an AI that's literally just a PC with a smily face on its monitor really speaks to me... I love the AI character and the little robots! I wish the time between dying and starting the next loop wasn't quite so long, but the game concept is really solid!

And that one little detail of the new robots always hitting that ledge and rolling down a bit just to give some more life through the physics system... a very sneaky and effective way of making the game feel alive. Bravo!

I hope you'll try out and rate my entry too!

Thanks a lot! You're attention to detail means the world to me. I'll play your game when I get the chance!

Good idea! Well done. It seems I need to wait a bit before the next jump. A faster respawn would be better.

Overall fun game but the controls lead to it being a little on the frustrating side. It seems there's a large delay before you can jump again.

Still very enjoyable.

MORTOL from UFO50 does this kind of concept very well. Fun game, my only complaint would be to have the respawning being quicker, since you're dying a lot.

The visuals and story are awesome, however the controls and respawn time were frustrating for me. Never the less Good Job!

You guys have made a really fun game. I really love the music in this game and that opening setting!
Interesting level design and the pixel art is really nice too! I like how the little eyes on the boxes move, it really makes them feel more alive.
Thank you!

It would be really nice if you can drop by and checkout my team's entry for the jam here:

Thanks a lot for playing, and thanks for noticing the eyes! at least 2 hours of my work hasn't gone unseen, thanks a lot. and props to blade for the music. I'll try out your game later tonight!

I love the concept, it works really well with the platforming/puzzle genre! It's overall very well designed (even tough I had some issues with the controls) and the art direction is really cool :)
Congrats on making it in such a short time!

Developer

Thanks!

The game's really fun! Tho I had some trouble jumping as it seems both legs must be on the ground and sometimes it's not intuitive, but overall I really enjoyed it :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I've heard a lot about the jumping and it seems to be a common practice problem, I didn't spend enough time testing I guess.

Submitted(+1)

It's not really a problem once you get used to it but after the jam you may look into that if you're interested in developing it further! Also I'd be extremely grateful if you check out my game too in spare time :D

Developer(+1)

of course I'll look it up tonight!

I realy liked the mechanic of just dying XD | Good Game 👍👍👍

Developer

Thanks a lot for taking time to play, just played yours too, much fun.

The Jumping mechanic is a bit weird since you need to stack the box quite a bit. Also faster respawn would probably help since this involves dying a lot. Also I guess human is now cube-shaped in this universe ????

Submitted(+1)

LOVED the graphics, opening intro, and character art--just a silly lil box guy :)  I do wish I had faster respawn times, but still fun.   Nicely done!

Developer

Hahahah thanks very much, slow respawn times noted

The slow respawn and the unresponsive jumps made it a litter burdensome to play, but still a great game and enjoyed it!

The jumping is a bit awkward and frustrating but the art and the whole direction are chef's kiss. Well done!

Great job! Very atmospheric, I love the narrative. Really cool art

Developer

Thank you, appreciate the support!

I love how this game looks and sounds. It feels polished like crazy and can't believe it was made in 4 days. Only thing is that I really couldn't stand how unresponsive the jump was (i needed to wait like a full second after landing to jump again) and how long it took to respawn another bot. Has a lot of potential, but couldn't finish it with how slow it really went. If you update it post gmtk to make the gameplay smoother, I will definitely be coming back for seconds. The presentation was amazing, great job.

Developer

Of course! Thank you very much, and I understand. I've recieved many comments about the jumping and I simply didn't play test with other people enough but you're fully right. Updates will be coming!!

A super polished experience! I sometimes felt frustrated by the jump cooldown or respawn timing when trying to lay down my 5th guy, but overall a great package. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! yeah I think the juming could've been polished a bit better I get you, thanks regardless.
