one of the best games I saw

Developer

You are too kind, Thank you for playing my game :)

I really liked your centrifuge model and the minigames were fun. I really liked that the track got red as it heated up. I think it was a little bit of a shame that I couldn't really see the trains because of how fast they were going given how well-modeled everything else was. It was fun!

Developer

Appreciate the kind words. Thank you for playing my game :)

Ahah, So much tension building up that I was clenching my butt cheeks!

A surprisingly engaging experience:)

I guess I succeeded in jumpstarting the engine cause the game ended! Is it at 10,000 loops, I didn't have time to check?

Developer

game ends when 3 requirements are met, all the sentries are on the track, over 200Km/h and over 2000 laps. the fastest I have managed to complete the game was about 5 - 8 minutes. Thank you for playing my game :)

I reaaally dig the presentation of the main scene with the train itself. The sound of it speeding up to insane levels is also really well done. :) I wish mini-games to refuel it and to get extra sentry cars were a bit more satisfying, but hey, game jam! :D

I think there are some bugs as well. 1. If you don't wait for the pattern to disappear before starting to click on green tiles, the game gets confused. 2. I missed "Simon says" mini-game once, and every subsequent attempt failed immediately (until I left that screen and returned).

Nice job whipping this up for the game jam. :)

mini games were made from Unity code that I could find. My first game so I didn't have too much time to design anything from scratch. Thank you very much for playing my game :)

Good 3d artwork, and very funny ultimate speed train)

Developer

Thank you for your kind words and playing my game :)

NOOOOOO, this was so anticlimatic ToT)
I was so absorbed by the tasks that I didn't even had time to enjoy the visuals :'(

Seriously impressive, especially for a first game. You've made quite an original and refreshing entry. Congratulation, it's quite a lot of fun!

Thank you for you kind words. really loved your game. I wanted a black hole at the end that would suck everything into it and then close the game. but ran out of time unfortunately. I made sure that the player was taken to the main view at the end just to make sure they get to see the ending. Thank you for playing my game

Submitted

Yeah I did but lasted like 3 sec before going back to menu. The blackhole that close your game idea would have closed the loop (no pun intended).

Hilarious

I am surprised that Unity allows me to get that train going so fast. Thanks for playing my game :)

I like how it just keeps accelerating leading to the point at which one refuel mess up can lead to you losing. Real anxiety fuel.
Even though gameplay is simple I felt very engaged.  I kinda liked the fact there was no tutorial - you are just dropped in this situation, you don't know what to do and the machine just KEEP GOING FASTER.

Developer

I thought about a tutorial but ended up leaving notes near the mini games instead. Thank you for playing my game :)

Good idea for the theme! Liked the sci-fi implications.
Very impressive for the first completed game, keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you. I thought about doing a tower defense game at first but ended up having the most fun seeing how fast I could get the train to go. Thank you for playing my game :)

3D graphics are gorgeous. Not fun to play though. I felt like there was going to be a surprise at the end

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

I wanted to have a black hole form at the end and the game would just force close, like the game got sucked out of existence. but I barely got the game submitted. This was my first ever completed game for the GMTK so I did what I could with my still amateur Unity knowledge. Another 24 hours and I probably could of got there. Thanks for playing

The Game looks great first of, liked the idea, altough it of course would ve been cool to have more variaty in the game (But we all know there simply was no time for that) . For some reason the Web version lagged for me, and in the windows version the Fuel bar isnt visible.

Nice game none the less, good job C:

Developer

Thanks so much for playing. Yeah I discovered what UI anchors were in Unity a bit too late and had to scramble to get the UI fixed.

Really enjoyed it. There's just something fun about making this train spin faster and faster :D I think sound of it spinning is a great touch, makes you aware of what's happening without interrupting your assignments.

Developer

Originally thought of making a tower defense game. but had so much fun just seeing how fast I could get the train going, that ended up become the main gameplay loop. Thanks for playing

Not me trying to get past 1000 km/h as the game started :'(, Cool game, the slow start make it chill to understand what we have to do, and some pressure after, the style is great tho. Took the time to try to beat speed instead of sentry car but got quite hooked in it. Good job!

Developer

I would of loved to have had no limits on the speed and had stats at the end for completion time, max speed, etc. but after about 300km/h the audio really starts to glitch out. so had to limit it. if I had more time I probably would of swapped the audio at 300km/h and then gone from there. Thanks for playing :)
