Your Average rank is #66 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

Here is the link with all the rankings:

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

I really enjoyed discovering that I could rocket boost myself using orbital laser. Classic boomer shooter fun.

I like how responsive the salt ring vfx is! Nice game!

Smart and unique idea, I like it! Superb game, very creative. Felt a little bit hard, I think it would be better to allow more forgivable loops and the balance then would be great. Insanely special game, one of the most unique and creative that I saw.

Very clever idea, it is very polished. Style is superb and music is very fitting, fun to play too. Cool game! loved it well done

Ok, this game is incredible.

The main mechanic is super cool and, despite looking deceptively simple at first, is deeper than I thought.

You can make a big line of salt and draw a circle at the end to create multiple blast, you can almost complete a circle and then wait for the ennemies to go near to close it, you can blast under your feet to fly up in the air ( :3 ).

Like, this could be made into a full game for sure.

I just wish there was more ennemy type, but it's already impressive what you achieved in such a short time.

Congrats !

i'm doing fine, thanks for asking :3

shit I want this as published game. nice job

This was an amazing game for sure! I loved it and I loved the ways you could use the salt creatively! I won't spoil more, but I did find the secret :3 This could easily be a title if worked on more! And I also wonder which engine this was made on?? Shame there wasn't a proper ending screen to the game, like you eliminated all the demons :s

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

It’s made in Godot, There’s a “FIN” screen though (with a surprise song in the bg), not sure if some enemy launched into the stratosphere and it didn’t register you killing them, it’s one of the most elusive bugs we have

Submitted(+1)

I thought maybe one of the ghosts got stuck inside the church, but it could be that one of them got launched into heaven yeah!

Submitted(+2)

This is phenomenal! The atmosphere, the enemy design, the salt mechanic. Dusk/Doom type games really are the best.

Submitted(+2)

Incredible. The thing at the beginning. You have style. This would have felt right at home as a Hexen weapon. Huge fan of the retro classic vibe too. Perfectly done. Thanks for commenting on my game so I found this :D

Top 100 game for sure. Creative and satisfying mechanic, cool art, metal in the background. The only thing I want is for salt to last longer so I can blast the whole game field)

Submitted(+3)

This is a really cool idea with a lot of potential. It's fun to do an almost complete circle and then time it to the enemies jumps. Maybe the salt could stay on the ground for a bit longer before dissolving in order to encourage hitting more enemies with a single big salt circle. Also I like that the mechanic also has interesting movement potential by launching you in the air.

Submitted(+2)

The edgy older brother to our game! I loved the learning curve of flicking your mouse to get the biggest circles! Wish we got ammo back on kill for some crazy combo potential, but had a blast either way!

Developer(+2)

had that idea as well, but didn’t get to add it unfortunately (mainly was thinking of creating a “overloaded” salt mechanic where increase pellet fire rate increases so you can make the circles by just flicking faster). thanks for the review!

Submitted(+1)

I get that there were tons of features we wanted to add too, but that's just the way of jams I guess!!

(+2)

Really fantastic atmosphere, very unique take on a FPS (first person seasoner). Enemy design was clear and easy to differentiate from the environment. Thoroughly enjoyed this game!

Developer(+2)

Thanks, although it’s mostly just the glow around them, added it because demons would blend with the trees :’)

Submitted(+2)

I love it! The idea and execution were excellent and the graphics fit really well. It's a super unique interpretation of the theme too. Creating loops can feel a bit inconsistent at first, but you get better at it over time.

Is the last demon supposed to spawn on the roof? I beat the game and I found the secret :)

Developer(+1)

Nn-n-nooo..? There’s a bug that can launch an enemy up at mach 50, but, fortunately, they land in the level

Also, there’s a second secret (out of bounds), but it’s less interesting than a Voices of the Void reference

Submitted(+1)

Well. The last demon did in fact spawn on the roof (I guess it wasn't necessarily the last one, just the last one I got to, because, y'know, it was on the roof lol). Of course I managed to get up there too after a little bit of trial and error.

Submitted(+2)

This is such a cool idea for a shooter, and the vibes in general were immaculate!

I also managed to find your little secret guy ;)

Submitted(+2)

This game is awesome! I really enjoyed it, and the giant orbital lasers made me feel like a god. This was a super fun implementation of the game theme. I have seen other games that do drawing loops as a game mechanic, but it is super cool that you draw salt on the ground to summon the lasers. It's a very cool implementation that I haven't seen. Good job! It would also mean a lot if you could review my game. It's my first game jam.

Developer(+1)

It’s very complex coding-wise, you have to construct and update a graph from salt particles and find loops in it, which is a very hard problem to optimize (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_path_problem). People don’t usually go that deep into complex systems. т-т

Thanks for playing! I’m gonna review your game tomorrow, a lot of sleeping to catch up on

Submitted(+1)

Thank you, I hope you enjoy it!

Cool rocket (salt) jump!
