It takes time to get used to the controls, but when you manage it, this is SOO fun, love it
It would be interesting if I could spin stuff while standing. Also some enemies could cut away from thr laso so its not that op. But overall I had fun playing this :) I'm wondering if Lazo reunites with his familyu again. My couldnt do it... Valhala is a harsh place :D
A simple yet fun arcade game. I thought the sound design was great, and it feels super good to kill an enemy. Nice work!
I don't dodge; I enjoy the moments of the chase.
Wow the music is pretty cool! I think that gaining momentum to sling your enemy was pretty fun. One issue is that I feel was getting to that point. Nice submission!
Oooh this game is fun, wanted to pass my alloted 15 minutes real bad aha. I liked finding out that the ghost guys can kill themselves by going too fast into walls! Was raging and talking to myself the whole time. Good job!!! (screen shake felt nice too)
Minimalist goodness, glad I downloaded it cause I wanna keep on playing, got to room 6, so far.
The game definitely needs a tutorial of some sorts and it took quite a while for me to figure how the controls worked, and how the core gameplay loop was designed to work. But after getting the hang of it, the game is quite enjoyable and very unique! I also loved the black/white pixel art style! Well done!
The strat is to lasso objects closely so you can easily build up angular momentum by running around in small circles :)
The monochrome palette looks great! I like that the background isn’t completely black; it kinda emulates the grayish tint of a CRT. Great job making and putting all this together by yourself!
Thanks! <3
Good enemy variety and very satisfying slamming my foes into walls >: )
I loved the song. I don't know if it was just me, but I found the game very difficult. Regardless of the difficulty, it was fun overall.
I can't get past stage 10 ahahahah
Post jam update should make this slightly easier, but it's supposed to be a difficult game, thanks for the rating and the comment :)
Very cool art and sound, enjoyed this game!
very cool art style and very great sound design!
Love the black and white art style. It is so satisfying when you finally kill someone.
Wow nice! I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The more I understood the lasso mechanics, the more interested I became. I think there's more fun to be had here, really cool idea and great execution of a simple game!
i would like nothing more than to be just like this guy when i grow up. going to start training in the ways of a viking and lasso-er IMMEDIATELY!!!
I believe in you, Lazo cosplay when?
A really satisfying game once you got the mechanics, it was fairly intuitive, though the one zombie looking guy felt a little bugged as I couldn't swing him into something when it felt like the same speed killed the other guys. When I worked out I could kill him by swinging a crate into him, I could progress and it was fine. One hit kill is also a bit punishing, especially with the projectile enemy. Beside these critiques, I thought it was a well made game, and I really enjoyed the different ways you can kill the enemies, eg swinging one into another, into a wall, swinging a crate into them, and even punching them into something else moving, which was particularly satisfying. I really enjoyed this entry.
Love games that play around with physics and how hard you are pushing/throwing something! A little bit hard to control on the beggining, once you get the hang of it it becomes quite intuitive. A small tutorial could go a long way.
I was a bit confused at first at how to actually defeat the enemies (I destroyed all the boxes and stuff and was just hitting the zombie thing), but after figuring it out had some fun.
(also love the cape the character has)
Its hard movement when you throw objects. As i understand, i cant kill a zombe using fist, and its true, its a minus for gameplay. The art is not bad, great animations! Great idea with fits the theme, but not original.
