This feels like a finished game! You did a great job keeping to a simple core mechanic and expanding on it. The puzzles are well paced, and the game feel is there.

Although I feel like the "timed platforms" (the ones that vanish without any input) are a bit of a counter pattern for the type of game. Because if I understood correctly it requires the played to time its first recording with it, which in my opinion causes dead time.

Still this game is fantastic and I'd love to see more of it! Good job!

Amazing how you took such a creative mechanic and put it into such a great looking and feeling core loop. Can't wait for more levels!

Visually, the game looks stunning!  But at its core, it plays like a fairly standard platformer.

The main mechanic—the loop feature—feels underutilized. I honestly didn’t feel like I needed it at all. Starting each level with multiple cassettes made the core mechanic redundant. I could just record the first section, start the second recording, then the third, and reach the goal without really engaging with the looping concept.

Even in the first level (why were there three cassettes?), a single cassette would’ve been more than enough. It gave players the option to bypass the loop mechanic entirely.

A more engaging solution could be to provide just one cassette at the start of each level. The player would need to record a short loop that reaches another cassette. From there, they’d continue the loop using both recordings in tandem. You could then introduce a reset block to clear and start a new loop.

This approach would encourage creative problem solving and make the looping mechanic feel essential and rewarding.
And making it on the BEET - a rhythm-based would make it even better.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! Great points which definitely gave me ideas for refining the design and making it more meaningful. Really appreciate you taking the time to share!

Great stuff! And i lost it over how cute that starting animation of a tape was. Small touch, but it goes a long way)

*btw, my game also has beets, although not as cute and mobile as yours does))*

Thanks for your kind comment, I'm super happy that my hyperfocus on that casette moment got an appreciation! I definitely wasn't expecting to see other beets in this jam so I'll definitely check your game for that )

The art looks great and the concept feels fresh. Turnip was fun!

I love the concept of this and the art is fantastic. I think the game could be expanded on a lot for level design, love what you have so far

A really interesting idea with some genuinely fun moments! With a bit more polish and expansion, I could see this turning into something that could really stand out. Maybe even something marketable? Keep up the great work.

Super creative and an excellent execution of your idea!

I really liked the way the game played. I would have made it more obvious in the beginning that you can record yourself more than once, but I figured it out in the end.

Also, the recording is not always perfectly executed in the playback. But I'm sure that can be ironed out :)
