No matter what I did, the kept losing as soon as I got to the bottom of the L, with no explanation and no hints. Wasn't helpful or fun to die that way. The idea is great, but needs polish

Developer

Yeah, it definitely needs a lot of polish, and even some basics. You are meant to put up at least one purple rope to spawn the triangles that then will follow you along the purple ropes and you need to stay close to them. So if you get too far from the start you will lose.

Seems like a really cool idea!
Physics were fun but the controls felt a bit cumbersome

Thanks! Yeah, it took me too long to get the rope to behave properly I didn't have time to massage the controls, give some more feedback, make it feel smooth and satisfying!

This was fun to play. Are you a climber perchance? The theme is closely related to the safety aspects of climbing, which I found quite interesting. To improve it, I would make the pickups more obvious and consider adding a how to play section before jumping into the game. Great work!

Developer

Thanks! I did dabble with some climbing and ropes, I am generally familiar. Yeah, I was trying to implement a whole lighting system, to make it look more like a cave or something like that, make the pickups pop out more with lights but I've run out of time.
