Fun, short experience! As others said, was a little confused with all the props lying about thinking they were interactable. Managed to beat it in 0:53 so I think that's a record? :p itch.io isn't allowing me to post the screenshot for some reason

Thank you for playing and the feedback! Definitely will need to put colliders on objects, and be more careful of making things not look interactable. Whoa! 0:53 SECONDS? Idek how you guys are so quick XD
I haven’t said this but every time you mine it gets faster as you progress, and you’re meant to get ‘slower’ each time you mine BUT the speed honestly doesn’t look like you’re getting slower, I didn’t have enough time messing around with that sadly.
Anyways, thanks for playing and you currently have the highest record time of beating the game hehe.
its somewhat relaxing mining with the chill music :P
i see a little problem with the collision and the overlapping sprites, in unity i remember there is a "order layer" property for that :P
nice game! :D
Thank you for the feedback and playing!
Ah, yeah, I’m always having issues with the sprites DX Next time I’m just going to add colliders. I thought the order layer was fine but apparently not, I know about it already lol. I just never know what should be Infront and what should be in back ig. Should be super simple but I just never know!!!
Thanks again!
I love straightforward games like this! The pixel art and decorations are very well-made. Also very good choice of the music track!
I know how tough it is to race against time in short jams like this, but you did very well!
I attempted to speedrun your game too :-)

Yee haw! Big cave to explore and lots of gold pieces to find and mine. I like that you took the time to add unique decorative objects to furnish the space to make the cave feel more cave-y. You have some nice sprites here, but make sure they don't clash too much with each other - it was sometimes hard to see the miner's arm animate! I enjoyed exploring the cave and doing a little spelunking to find the ores. You can take this game in plenty of directions - I wonder what you could do with all this gold? Maybe sell it to get a bigger pickaxe? Nice work!
Thanks for the feedback! I did rush the furnished items toward the end, so some things (like the lamp) ended up way too big. When you mentioned the sprites clashing, did you mean there were too many items on screen, or were you referring more to the color palette or style differences? I read your comment a few times and just want to make sure I fully understand what you meant.
There was more planned for this game, but we got a late start sort of and just it was rushed. Me and my teammate did like 3 game jams in a row this being the third.
Anyways, thanks for playing! and the feedback I appreciate it!
I also chose to make a top down cave mining type of game, so seeing us both have the same idea but execute it very differently was really cool to see! I really like this, clear goal, straight the point, fun little game. Great work!
Had me going insane for quite a while when I couldn't find the 5th gold piece, turns out you have some sort of bug where if at the start you decide to mine the ore that's down of the ladder rather than the one to the right, it causes the one on the right to disappear and make the level unbeatable.
Will second the other commenter's confusion on the TNT looking like an interactable element despite only being decorative, but otherwise congratulations on the game, keep it up.
Thanks for pointing out that bug and I’m sorry it caused you frustration/made you went insane. Normally I make sure the game is working properly but this game was very rushed.
Yeah, I didn’t really think people would get confused with the TNT. It wasn’t my idea to add it but next time I’ll communicate with my teammate more about ‘interactable’ looking objects for the player doesn’t get confused. This is the first time it’s happened, so it’s good to know about it.
Anyway, thanks for playing! and the feedback!
I liked it :) Finished in 2:35! It’s a good start. If you miss an early gold spot, it’s a bit tedious to go back and try to find it! It would be okay to have more than 5 gold spots even if you only need 5 to finish the level.
I think 2 small things that would take very little of your time to improve the game would be 1 - I’m sure you already had everything setup to dig stuff, so being able to dig different stones 2 - Collision with your props, so you don’t go through it.
Keep it up! <3
Thank you for playing and the feedback! Definitely will keep this in mind when creating games. Thanks for completing the level! Love it when people are able to finish the games I created :)
1 - We did have a different stone variant but didn’t get to add it in. 2 - Forgot colliders and I was in a rush, but thanks I’ll definitely keep this in the back of my head.
Thank you, sourmelon will appreciate your comment! And sadly the inventory was just to show your gold count. If we were to expand this game, there would have been different types of ore but time was short! So yeah, also we would of changed the inventory to something much simpler but time was short :( I wanted to create a literal ‘pocket’ inventory but time again was so short, sigh.
Thankyou for showing your escape! I always love it when people complete the game :>
