How does your game fit the theme?
Well... the idea was that you can loop back on the end of the flod. Then you would have the knowlage where the water would go and then you could defend the small town better. (this s not added and done but it will be released with a update in the next few days))

Very cool idea. I had a hard time understanding what I was supposed to do, was getting buzzed for clicking the buttons until I saw I needed to hit 1-4 on the keyboard lol. It is very challenging to save the town completely. Pretty nice game.

Thanks and yes that's right the design implementation and world generation took a long time. So we did not manage to add most of the actual gameplay. (But I think that atleast the concept was conveyed).

I really want to see where this game is going to go. I'm excited to see you get deeper into tilemap logic (something I've been avoiding) because the holes definitely look a little silly when they just cut off at the edges. I felt that there was supposed to be progression of sorts where you could buy/unlock more/better walls and dig more holes but, as I understand from your responses to other comments, simply weren't able to due to time constraints. I think this game would make for a great roguelite if that's the direction you were planning to head in. If it gets there and you open a Steam page, shoot me a message and I'll be sure to give you a wishlist!

Well we will see how far we get (probably not steam but maybe as a full small game here on Itch.io). Your right that a bit of progression would make the game a lot more fun and replayable. I can assure you that I have a few ideas on how we could make the game more interesting. A few of these are nearly done as I said in other comments and a few new ideas came to mind after the jam ended. In the end I think that the game was a bit to ambitious in it's scope but now that a lot of the core system is done, we can finally start on the game play of the game.

Thank you for your nice comment and the feedback that you gave us :)

I like the idea for the game and I can see how it would be fun given more time.

Good to hear and yes we had all the systems in place but then the deadline struck. So we had to leave a lot of nearly but not 100% done things out of the game.

My defenses weren't enough to save the town... but luckily the forest kept the flood at bay until the water stopped spreading. Success!

Great job! It's a bit sad that we did not manage to make the loop work or the score system but i think it's still a bit of funn to play in it's current state.
