What a creative idea, and very well executed! I can't believe how much content is here in a game jam entry, plenty of room to expand it as well. Good stuff

Developer

Thanks so much! We're already working on more :)

Great take on pachinko, with the peg upgrades and quests working really well to create a core loop that cries out for "just one more run!". The little scenes that you get for quests are adorable too :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! Maddie had loads of fun making those 😇

This was surprisingly fun!  Very addictive quality to it.  I really liked how you can aim your little hero.  First run I died very quickly.  The prices in the shop increased so much faster than my income.  A description of each of the vendors and the stats would have been super helpful.  Second run I did great, right up until my hero landed perfectly balanced on top of a vendor and would not move.  Perhaps a nudge button would fix that?  Also, is there any sort of ending?  Perhaps when you have all the pegs filled with vendors?

Developer

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah we didn't get a chance to add tool tips/tutorial but the tool tips are already in on the newest build :)

Really nice idea !

I had a bit of trouble understanding you have to actually pet the item on the pegs and to find the Launch button,  maybe a bit of tutorial or instructions in game would have been nice but other than that, it's a fun game full of random events, I loved it ! I could really see myself play it on mobile tbh

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! We've already started adding how to play elements and tool tips into the game :)

Submitted(+1)

I'll definitely play it after the jam ends !

Pachinko combined with rpg mechanics is a genius idea.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Love the dynamic camera in this, really adds to the bounciness of the movement. From your other comments it sounds like the things I'd want improved are underway already so looking forward to playing a post-Jam version!

Developer

Thanks for playing, can't wait to show off a new build!

haha I never thought plinko could be turned into an adventure game. I see plinko I play plinko - love it!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Managed to get to Day 16 after a little bit of practice. I was a big fan of the game “Ballionaire” and this game reminded me a lot of it.

I was hoping to see a tooltip for what the items in your inventory did, but after experimenting a little bit i was able to quickly figure out what things did.

I saw there was also what looked like a magic shield resource, but I don’t think I ever got that item. Was that something that got left out due to time?

Nice work!

Developer

We didn't get a chance before the deadline unfortunately but they're already in the newest build I'm working on :) Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Shields are in but they can only be obtained from the Restful Night encounter or bought from a merchant. They can be used to defeat a monster if you don't have enough swords/potions

Very cool idea and super polished execution! I only stopped because I managed to shoot down in a perfectly straight line and got stuck on one of the pegs :B

Love the idea of slowly upgrading your pachinko board!

Developer

So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing! We've had a couple people say their ball got stuck so I'm adding a little more bounce to the pegs and maybe a nudge button

Submitted(+1)

Wow this is so polished for the game jam! I enjoyed it a lot, I thought the eye mechanic was quite interesting. I wish the pegs had a tad more bounciness so you could hit the underside of the one above you. Maybe I'm stupid but I would've liked a way to know what the items do before I put them down, as I'm really into the deckbuilding component of games like this. Or alternatively maybe some theming to understand why I don't know what is going on if you want to keep it as is. Great game.

Developer

Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed it! We didn't have time to add tool tips before the deadline (it's in the game now but submissions are closed) but everything is explained in the page's description :)

Very creative idea! One of the best I've played so far this jam, would really like to see it in a full game.

As for a game jam game, I think you could've put some tutorial text that said "DRAG THE SHOP TO THE SLOTS" on the inventory bit, first time I played I just clicked launch without understanding what to do. Also, having some more starting resouces would've been helpful.

Developer

Thanks so much! Yes we had a bit less time as we only realised the game jam was happening a day into the jam unfortunately. If we had an extra day I'd definitely spend some time tutorialising and balancing. There's a full how to play in the description though if you missed anything

It was all so nice and chill, loved the artwork and storytelling.

Developer

Thanks so much!

I played this for an embarrassingly long amount of time.  Filled the board.  My game lagged/slowed after each shop hit which frustrated me, but I feel the irritation added to the gacha-addiction of this maybe?  But I want more detail, levelling difficulty, and for this to be on mobile for fidget-gaming!

Developer

The slow down when you hit an upgraded peg is intentional if that's what you mean? :') Just a cool effect to make it look more flashy when you combo off. So glad you enjoyed it though! And we're definitely keen to add more :)

Amazing game! This was a blast to play, and I could totally see a more fleshed out version with maybe different characters, items, relics, enemies, shops, the list could go on. Really good job <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! We're really keen to carry it on and add some complexity :)

Submitted(+1)

We took some times to understand where we could build, it's a nice idea ! We had this bug a lot where the ball bounce badly and then goes out of bound :/

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes with some more time we'll polish up the physics :)

Submitted(+1)

Very satisfying little game to play, and the artwork is utterly gorgeous. It seemed a little easy in the state it was in now, especially with swords and potions not getting consumed in battle, and it'd be cool to see more peg varieties, but I got sucked in hard to the "one more go" gameplay loop.

Developer

Once we've got a little more time we're keen to tweak the balance and add some more progression! Think of this as a vertical slice but one we're very proud of :)

Phew, finally! [ itch won't let me insert a screenshot ]

Once I properly understood the multiplier mechanic, I kinda got sucked in and.. well... :D

I had to pull up the description on my second monitor initially to know what things did, and even then it took me a bit of trial and death. I loved all the physics of the game, especially the slow-mo, even though it could be turned off for normal pegs. All in all I really enjoyed it and with better balance I would play it again :)

Bugs found: left clicking on a peg allows to move it but removes the original, item counts above 99 only show the first two digits (see screenshot for both)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! We've got that moving pegs bug fixed at the moment but unfortunately after submission closed haha. We're planning to add some actual tutorialisation and better balancing etc. in our next version!

This game actually became addicting once you learn how to play it. The art is beautiful, and the music is amazing and synced with the overall style of the game :-]

The only problem was that it was hard for me , and probably for most people  to figure out what was going on without looking at your game page. If you had implemented a good tutorial system, that would have been perfect. The concept of loop here is also neat and nice. But overall, it is a really nice game. I just hoped it had some of its guide inside the game.

Developer

Definitely something we're adding in a new version post voting. Thanks so much for playing either way!
