How does your game fit the theme?
My game plays with two concepts of a loop. The game is about a perpetual death loop where you have to die to progress. The ending of the game also reveals a second idea about looping

Got stuck on "the only way is up" and couldn't progress, I'm sure it's just that I couldn't figure out how to get one of he dead bodies to climb up.
I love these live die repeat games. You have to die. Its funny that you can pick up you dead body and use it as a platform. This is great!
really neat game!! i really love how the artwork lends itself to the narrative, gameplay, and atmosphere :D really impressive work <3!!
Very clever puzzle, loved the squishiness of the bodies.

I really enjoyed this game, and I thought the mechanic was a fun concept that was executed well (and must have been a bit of a pain to code)! I think it's ripe some more levels that tried some twists on the mechanic or built on it in creative ways. I also thought the visual presentation was good, I love the art, the colors, the lighting, and the little bouncy animation that happens when you bounce on a past life! The sprite for your previous lives really conveys a dead husk pretty well. I would have loved some sound effects and more music as well.
So I'm guessing the extra secrets were the little lore bits you found if you went down some of the openings? So, if I'm correct, it looks like our character had woken up this ancient statue which was the eldritch God, and doing so destroyed reality and stuck him in an even bigger curse of a time loop that he can't escape from? That narrative twist at the end was great, and I really love the horrifying implications of the lore! It was great that the theme was worked in not only on a mechanical level, but also narratively through that last ending reveal. Really great stuff!
Overall, great concept, nice presentation, and really interesting narrative! Good work!
Fun game and neat use of theme! I was stuck in that third room till I read your reply to that same question a couple comments down - that probably could've been more explicit with the messaging in game. The bodies also had that bouncy feeling to them which felt very nice and worked well into the game feel. Good stuff!
I really enjoyed playing this game and definitely played it for much longer than most other submissions! I've seen this concept applied in other places: using your previous deaths as fuel to propel you to victory. But this game executed it in the best way I have seen yet! The level design was masterful, the difficulty curve just right, and the whole experience felt complete and polished.
Figuring out the levels was tricky but just the right difficulty. At point I did get stuck and had to resort to glitching through a dead body to move forward (wow, that really sounds weird) but once I passed it, it was back to smooth and happy.
The art, animations, and music help make this game alive, which makes it even more fun to play! High praise for you in those categories. My only suggestion would be to add more sound effects: completeing a level, dying, pushing, etc.
What a charming and unique entry! An unconventional and abstract take on the theme executed masterfully - I am definitely a fan!
I really like the one where you have to hold your stoned corpse in front of you as a meat shield. :D Amazing.
I got discouraged on a level with moving platforms, pits, spikes, and arrows. It was a bit too difficult. I think the biggest factor was that the platforms don't keep you in place while you're riding them.
Nice work with the game and the theme. :)
Nice concept, I really liked this one! If I wanted to be picky, I’d say that the controls and jumping are a little too snappy. Well done :)
