Didn't understand it in the beginning but then I realised that I was fighting myself in future battles, pretty cool game!

I really enjoyed this! Five stars across the board :D

Great concept, nice art, well executed and polished. Really impressed that this was completed in a jam.

Competing against my previous warriors was so cool! I love the concept, I got to my 5th guy before I just barely couldn't beat him. Awesome game! Love how visually customizable each guy was when using different items

I love all the games that have you compete against yourself (and I am in no way biased by my own entry). It creates such a unique gameplay loop of planning ahead and restraint. The variety of equipment of all three types works with this mechanic so well, allowing for variety and possible strategies. Great work!

Great entry. Very fun, made me play for much longer than average. Loved the artworks and the game had little details that greatly increased the enjoyment, like giving a name to the characters or the fact that the equipment showed on each sprite. Great execution all around.

This is top tier, the fact that there is even a pool of items, rather than fixed items, for a jam game that's crazy.

Creative, fun, overall polished and intuitive. One of the best games I've played this jam.

This is very addictive. I like suffering from my own genius! I also love how you get to name them too. Named one Dog and struggled to beat him.

I may have created an unstoppable monster.... epic i regret nothin! :D

I made my second to last enemy almost impossible but somehow did it? I didn't even realize what had happened.

I liked this game a lot! A very creative and unique take on this year's theme. The idea of competing against your own winning characters is very interesting, and very enjoyable.

Simple and effective gameplay! almost couldn't stop playing, it's so addictive! Would love to see a short tutorial, even though I understood it after a while

Cool art and idea! I like the different color ways for the sprites and  their transitional animations. Nice touch that you had to rename your new challenger each time to drive home it's a different character.

Cool! Great job, the idea of "fighting yourself" is very clever and well executed here.

Cool! After the first round i got he idea and it was fun to upgrade the character but not make him to strong since you need to defeat him later on. I had a bit of bad luck with low power weapons on the higher levels, making the next fight an almost certain loss.  My other gripe would be that some of the sprites are hard to read or obscured by other parts.

Very fun! Cool concept B)

Absolutely awesome! loved fighting my old characters and it was interesting trying to get just powerful enough to beat my previous character but not so powerful that id create an impassable enemy. Loved this!

This kinda game is my jam, no pun intended, and even having played several games in that autobattler/roguelite genre, this game stands out as one I'd have easily spent money on and not regretted it one bit. Please keep making games, I want to give you my money.

This was SO FUN!  I forgot I was playing a game made in 4 days and just got super immersed.  I probably did about 20 runs but I was only able to get 6 high.  This would be an awesome concept to see developed further!

super unique idea for the gameplay loop! having to make a character that is strong enough to win but weak enough to beat next round was a neat moment made me think alot. awesome job! also sound FX and visuals gave me a gameboy nostalgia feel that was cool :)
