How does your game fit the theme?
The Endless Dream fits the theme "Loop" because both the story and gameplay revolve around an endless cycle. The player is trapped in a dream that keeps repeating. Each time they fail, they restart the level from the beginning. This time loop is at the heart of the experience. The player must catch ghosts while dealing with helpful bonuses (like time freeze) and hidden maluses (like black holes). Every attempt is part of a cycle the player is trying to break.

Really well made for what it is. I really wish I could have used the standard WASD control scheme instead of having to press ZSQD. Other than that I didn't have any issues, good job!

Wow! This game seems to be 50 years old. You sure did suprise me with as ascii game. What a nice change! Extra points for creativity. The game itself needs some time to get into it but then it's fun.

Well I did not expect an ascii game to be sent in the game jam. It was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. One critic tho, why the "zqsd" control layout? Is this they layout in a specific language for your keyboard instead of wasd?
For example for me the Z is next to the letter T on the hungarian keyboard and it was wierd for me that the up is so far from the rest of the letters.
But good job on the game, very Unique!

This was cool. I've never seen a terminal game before. My only complaint is that the hidden black holes kept turning up and setting my score to 0
Yes, the black holes are invisible traps that reset your score to zero when you step on them.

Interesting concept, but the controls are weird
Thanks for playing! The controls are set up for French AZERTY keyboards (ZQSD instead of WASD), so that might explain why they felt weird.
I'll try to add support for both layouts in the future!
