The concept is really cool with attacks being forced to make a loop. I liked the variety of cards that you added into the game, which is really impressive. I will echo another player's comment that I often felt overpowered, but when it worked, it worked well and was a very fun strategy game. Good job!

Very fun concept! I liked how much you had to consider friendly fire and positioning, and the sheer amount of different cards was impressive.

I think the way moving cards around could be slightly different though, it felt at the same time a bit too powerful being able to move a card anywhere, but also too weak only being able to move one every turn. Maybe something along the lines of allowing a total amount of spaces moved but being able to spread them out across multiple cards could work?

Developer

I 100% agree that the movement system rapidly oscillates between useless and broken, I think that your idea of the number of total spaces moved would be a great way to improve that system.

Oh this was super fun! Scholars all the way, loved scaling their damage over time and then oneshotting everyone ^^ Great game, thanks for making it <3

Very interesting! I think the core gameplay is cool, though it felt like a lot of the cards were useless or the gameplay loop wasn't complex enough to find uses for them. I really liked the card mechanics! Thinking ahead of not only where you can attack but making sure you don't attack yourself is pretty novel.

Would have been nice if there was an option to speed up the animations. Music was nice though it stopped repeating after a while.

Developer

Thank you! That is a great idea about an animation speed setting. If I ever go back to this project I would 100% add that. I agree that a good portion of the cards are just -- not good? And are easily outclassed. If I had more time I definitely would have done more balancing.

Looping lasers really make this work! Great concept that could really go deep!

Haha wow, you are totally right! I did not realize that happens when you do that...Guess the game needed a little longer in the QA phase...
