How does your game fit the theme?
in ORBIT you quite literally go in "loops" to reach your target.

I liked the first few levels, then my wife stole my laptop and played the rest.  So uh.. thanks for that I guess.  Jk, great game!

I love the simple and atmospheric graphics – they really got to me! Too bad there wasn’t more time for some extra QoL improvements

around and around i got a ball stuck but i could not stop watching the ball going in loops

press R to restart a level, i know its kinda unintuitive, but its all i had time for. 😅

It's a bit trial and error, which can come with some frustration. If you really want to go through the levels, I guess it's a very solid challenge and a nice learning curve for physics. The reset could come automatically after crashing though. Nice job, nice game.

I liked how simple and effective the art was. Introducing different planet sizes with different field strengths would be cool (not sure if you did, I couldn't get passed level 4). This game was very elegant and cosy.

The game mechanics are simple and easy to grasp, and the levels are quite well made. The solutions aren't immediately obvious and I'm surprised they can be as intricate as they are in a game based on such simple rules. The look and feel is, like the rest, simple but well made. One thing that would be nice is restarting if your ball has crashed, or when the ball has reached escape velocity.

Love the concept and the ambiance ! (need help for level 3)

super cool little game. Orbits are just always fun :D

Would love an autorestart once you crash, but otherwise top game!

I know! auto restart was absolutely something I wanted to add, but ran out of time :(

Very fun. Difficult at times but so satisfying when you beat each level.  My favourite is level 7. It took me a little while but I managed to beat all 8 levels and it was pretty fun. Nice visuals and very nice to control.

It worked very well. Very impressive, especially on your shorter time frame. Well done :)

Super cool! The visuals are great, and the sound effects meld really well with the overall aesthetic of the game! Very satisfying getting an orbit/loop to work exactly how you predict :)

Nice, small puzzler - I've played similar games before but the orbital gravity is a fun spin on it, and works well with the theme. Introducing a few more elements could have added some flavor to it - there's lots of scope for that if you want to expand on it. I liked it!

Very neat! I enjoyed playing with it, and the gravity physics felt pretty solid. My only suggestion would be to encourage the player to engage more with the “orbiting” mechanics in some way, maybe needing multiple pickups along a planet’s orbit path? Either way, very fun!

Nicely dialed in visuals. Wish there were a couple sound effects, but the music track was nice. Love the title screen too. Great work!

There are some sound effects! albeit not that many, and they are pretty quiet...

Really cool idea! It would be nice to have some assistance, like a prediction of the first few meters

Developer(+1)

Yes i considered this, and even began to implement it, but then I decided it might make the game to easy.

i really liked the artwork and the animations, it looked awesome!
