You can noclip using the reverser

WHAT

(1 edit)

When holding forward up against a wall and placing down the reverser it will cause you to get pushed through the wall afterwards move a little forward, so you don't get pushed back.

This is an adorable game with a lovely artstyle and narrative direction, i liked the puzzles until I had to start using the buggy reverser, also a little hint when I went into the temple without it wouldve been great. looking forward to seeing where this will go

really impressive game and artwork for such a short timeframe

at first I couldn't figure out how to use the boomerang with the second pillar because I didn't read controls, once you get it it becomes really satisfying

I also really liked the reference to zelda universe when going through valid paths playing the correct jingle

sometimes there's some z clipping, but overall it's amazingly done and executed, boomerang physics works well

so far the most polished game I've seen in the jam, amazing job!!

Amazing graphics and interesting puzzles! The paper-y art style really works well here.

Really fantastic game and it has so much personality, I love it ! The puzzle are a little tricky to understand at first but pretty satisfying ! I got stuck at the three pillars but I don't mind because I had a fun time playing it :)

You have some really interesting mimicks and arts that I would gladly see expanded on a more complete game

Also I wanted for my game a similar 2.5D style that you have with the shadows of the sprites that are projected into the other sprites and the worlds but I didn't know how to do it :(

I would love and be very thanksful to understand how you did that if you have time to explain it to me

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your review! Yeah I'll share our secrets for having 2.5D shadows! First of all our game engine is Unity, and the world is fully 3D. Sprites are rendered using normal sprite renderers, but the material used for rendering is a normal URP Lit  shader instead of a 2D Sprite shader. For getting shadows, there is a trick where if you set the inspector to show debug settings, you get an option on the Sprite Renderer to render shadows which is tipically disabled otherwise. You enable that and boom, you have  shadows. We also use heavy ambient occlussion.

Thank you sooooo much for sharing your wisdom ! I'll do a few test to try it out

OMG i love this artstyle. Great job!

In spare time please also rate my game :)

OOOOOh that is some of my favourite submission. Though I got stuck with the three pillars puzzle, the overall proposition is well executed ^o^ animation, tone, character, dialog, puzzles and 2.5D style ! so good !

Submitted(+2)

This is one of the most beautiful game submissions, so good!

Wow, this is honestly one of the more polished games I've seen in terms of mixing in a lot of art and mechanics together for the timeframe. I did run into some small bugs with boomerang, but honestly, for the timeframe, this was insanely well put together! Very artistic, love the aesthetic and the overall approach to the theme. I could see this being expanded to a full-fledged indie title. Great job and congrats on this awesome project! Hope y'all can get around trying mine out :)

I love this art style and the 2.5d perspective, it's incredibly charming, amazing job!

I like the dog, puzzles involving looping and boomerang. Definitely one of the most original approached to the theme in this jam.

I have a knack of soft locking myself. I went to the temple, opened the two triangle door. Got stuck at the three pedestal door. Back tracked to get the reverse device but when I returned to the two triangle door it wouldn’t open again. Ah well. Awesome looking game and nice use of loops.

Developer

Hmm thats a weird bug, I think it's just the loop detection around the pedestals is a bit wonky sometimes. Thanks for playing it tho!

Really well done game, especially for such a short time-frame! I love the 2.5D style, and the world had charm and felt good to run around in! I'd love to see this expanded (and maybe a few bug fixes :P)

Great job to you all!

Developer

Yeah we ran in to a few bugs a little too late :P, thanks for the compliments!

This is a near perfect game for a game jam! The art was crisp, the animations juicy, and even the camerawork was there! I don't expect camerawork in jam games, but here you pulled camera at the right places to focus on things and all that! The writing was great, hilarious, and the hints worked really well to move you forward. Couple of typos here and there but nothing egregious. Fantastic entry!

Was i supposed to use reverse-inator in three columns room to like launch a boomerang so it flying in 8 pattern around two pillars or maybe just around blue one? Anyway i opened that door before i even got reverse-inator, i just loped around blue ones myself one at a time

I think it first game i encountered with potential to become full-size one

Developer

You're actually meant to use the boomerang around one of the columns and then loop around the other two very fast. Our fault of not communicating timing correctly, this is happening to a lot of people and will be fixed on an update. Thanks for playing!

Very unique game! I really enjoyed the puzzle in the Mirage Caves. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out the solution to the one with the three pillars, so I had to get through using a bug. There are quite a few small bugs in general — I got stuck a couple of times and had to restart to get out. But overall, it’s a great game, and I’m glad I played it :)

One of the best plays so far, super polished and welcoming.
