Nice look, I wish I was better at the game, I'm sure it would be a pretty groovy tune with a lot more blasting going on.  Also appreciate you implemented both the WASD as well as arrow keys! Nice look, would love to groove to some fast BPM techno style level if I could make it that far.

Please feel free to play and rate my submission as well!

Yes, it seems the game was too hard for a lot of people, whoops. I didn't have any playtesters so I think I'd just played the game so much I didn't have a sense for how hard it was until after it released. Thanks for playing though, and I appreciate the feedback!

Found it quite hard tbh, but love the aesthetic, and the idea.

Definitely if I make a version 2 it will be easier starting out, but thanks for giving it a try!

I really like the reveal of the sequencer mechanic in round 2.  Is there a way to preview the beat before starting the next round?

Developer

Unfortunately there is not. That was on the roadmap but I wasn't able to get to it before the end of the game jam

Nice idea on the upgrade mechanic! Your entry is also super polished good job overall!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)

Awesome Galactica-type game. The game is a little hard to onboard. I recommend reducing the number of enemies at the start and allowing the player to upgrade faster.

Thanks for playing! I was thinking it might be nice to have the ship start a little stronger (like 2 or 3 weapons and more energy for the sequencer) and then maybe the number of enemies at the start might be OK. But if I do that I would want to increase the upgrade potential and make the end a little harder I'm thinking

Awesome idea. Please keep working on this. I can envision some great beats while blasting away

Developer

Thank you! I do plan to continue to add at least a few more things

First 5/5 on audio I have given so far. Loved it! The game is a little confusing at first - it kinda just throws you in there, but after a while it became really fun. :)

Thank you! I wish I had more time to do a tutorial or something, but I ended up pushing things a little closer than I had liked. This was my first ever jam so I was having trouble getting a sense for how to pace myself properly haha
