Good game concept, I can see it being expanded upon. I felt like the game ended too quickly though, maybe you could add a way to increase approval rating. I'd like to see where this game goes!

mixing tower defense with highway planning is a pretty unique spin! The looping road and little cars doing their thing is oddly satisfying. A few folks mentioned the approval rating dropped even when they weren’t changing anything, and some ran into minor bugs
This is a great foundation for a fun game. I had trouble with approval rating. It seemed no matter what I did, it just plummeted and I'd lose. A fully fleshed out and balanced game like this would be right in my wheelhouse.
A little buggy for me. My approval rating decreased even when I had no toll booth and no projects in progress. I couldn't get to the point where I had the road expansion, but I had a good time trying to optimize income for 15 minutes or so, trying to get there. I'm a big fan of the theme of highway engineering. I'll be back if you do end up adding a little more content to the game.
That feeling when you realize the debug state got committed and pushed in the final build 😅 it was intended that you’d only have the booth present initially, but because the other was was present it messed up state var which would cause cars to act as though the tollbooth were already there. Whoops.
Glad you gave it a try, and hopefully you at least felt those 15m were somewhat worth your time! Planning to evolve this into a tech demo for the Road Generator, I’ll drop another reply one day once it’s a decent chunk further along.
Darn, shame you didn't get that much time to work on this, I can see a pretty interesting idea here. Nice job for essentially one day though.
This is a really interesting idea for a game, it's unfortunate about the time constraint because I could easily see this idea expanded into a really enjoyable experience. As-is, I did enjoy seeing the little cars drive around in loops for a bit, although they don't seem to approve of me very much!
I liked the idea of the game and to an extent it was fun. unfortunately given how you didn't get to get that much done in terms of things to do I was unable to rate highly (bar art and creativity). unfortunately because of the limit of what was done the optimal strategy eventually became apparent to me

Thanks for taking the time to play all the same! Hey, if by submitting something less than stellar, it means someone else gets boosted up in ratings, so I’m perfectly content with that. Glad you appreciate the directional idea.
And yes, to say there’s really any strategy is a stretch I’d say. I see you stuck with it for a whole 233 days 🫡
