Thanks for playing! It is true that you don't need to care about mistakes during the loop, but the point of the loop is also to be building up momentum when you pass back through in order to be going faster in a different direction at that point in time than when you were at that point in time before, meaning if you make some mistakes towards the end of your loop, causing you to slow down, you may want to try again to pick up more speed during the end of the loop.

I see what you mean about momentum, I'm more thinking that the rest of the loop doesn't require much of you since you erase any mistakes up to a point. Not that that's a bad thing, just removes some tension.
