It was super fun, I liked the 360 "tower defense"  vibe.  It would be cool if it was a little more challenging once you get further in the game.

Developer

Thanks!

I really like the low resolution pixel art for this game! Overall style is super fun, and the gameplay is really easy to pick up. I like games that don't really need a tutorial or intro, but rather you just see the game and intuitively know what the goal is and how to play. This game did that super well, great work!

Developer

Thanks so much! Totally agree with you. I love games where you can easily figure out everything on your own!

Nice game here! I think the only thing it’s really missing is waves or to see how long you can survive aka time, to see how far you can get! The art is cute, the mechanics are great, and I think this game could definitely be expanded on. I also love the music it’s not annoying and fits very well. Good work everyone here! I wish you luck on the game jam and Great job on the game jam!

My favorites were the little fire and block guys rawr! Haha

IKR these guys are so cute! Thank you so much for such a sweet comment! Great idea about the timer!

BTW you played the post-jam update (which added the fire guys), but the original jam version is still available in the downloads. Just wanted to make that clear, in case it might affect your rating. :-)

Fun game, had a laugh when i made a wall of wizard just by hiring in the smallest circle XD

Developer

Oohhh I love doing that hahaha!

Great game!I enjoyed it, but I think it needs a goal or an ending. It would also be great if the enemies could scale in difficulty over time and if there were more variety. Other than the sneaky frog, the other monsters feel quite similar. Also, adding more types of wizards would enhance the strategy aspect of the game, as it currently feels a bit limited.Anw, it's too bad you didn't finish the game in time for GMTK 2025! :D

Thank you so much for playing the game and reading the devlog! I was a bit bummed, but it was fun making this game regardless. And hey, I still got to submit it to Mini Jam (arguably my favorite of the two)!

Hello fellow Godot dev! It's a super cool game and I like the pixel art.  I think this is a really fun tower defense game.

Developer

Thank you!

This is absolutely nuts and a really fun tower defense game. The core innovative idea is the radial approach to wizard placement, which creates some fun trade-offs: do you place wizards at the periphery to get enemies early, but risk letting them through, or place them closer to the base. There's some nice design for a jam game, with different enemies - I loathe the frog and its ability to escape my notice, a coin collection system and base health. So many ways you could scale this - but at the end of the day the core design works well and is fun to play and amass a wizard army. For constructive feedback, I'd say that scaling the game is an important design consideration. Enemies scale in difficulty, but the player's strategy stays the same throughout. Elements such as more expensive wizards with better abilities, upgrades or new challenges could add an additional dimension to the game. Great work!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing my game and for giving such detailed feedback! Completely agree with you about scaling and it’s something I will consider if I work on this game more. The fact that everyone (me included) shares equal hatred towards the frog makes me so content for some reason hahaha.

Fun! Also nice pixel art. I think something that could've made a bit more challenging is if wizards only stayed temporarily, because at some point I had an entire ring of them at the outside and nothing could go through. Well done though!

Developer(+1)

Hey, that’s a nice idea! I should try it and see how it affects the gameplay. Thank you!

Pretty chill game. Its simple but works quite well, even though the scaling gets kind of over the top at the end. Ended up enjoying it a fair bit.

Developer

Yes, the enemies get overly enthusiastic at the end haha. Glad you enjoyed it!

I really liked fun gameplay. The concept is nice, but it would be cool to have some kind of score. Anyways, great job!

Developer

Thank you! I totally agree, the game currently lacks a proper end goal. It would be nice to have at least some sort of score tracking.

surprisingly addictive game. but lacks content, add some upgrades and it would be great, but I still liked it

Developer

Thanks! The game definitely could use more content!

Really enjoyed this.   Thought the difficulty was going up too slow until I realized I was in a storm!
Also appreciated that the default sound volume was not at 100%.
Very addictive, could see this game going out of hand if you start implementing new features.
Great work!

Developer

Thanks for giving my game a try! I tried designing the difficulty scaling so there are few enemies at first… until suddenly there aren’t. :-D But it still might need some tweaking.

I see that you've updated the game.  Nice one!
The static wizard's spawn location changing to player's position made things easier to setup.  Especially earlyl game.

I honestly had a great time, the frogs are adorable but... also absolute demons 😅 One of them snuck in during the chaos and wrecked my base! Maybe a bit of screen shake or a little sound cue could help with that.
Still, this is the kind of game that, with more upgrades and maps, I could easily spend an entire afternoon playing. Well done

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! Those frogs are indeed very sneaky haha. Agree with you about needing more cues when the home is taking damage. :-)

I lost - because a stupid crab - managed to reach the center unnoticed in the middle of an entire war. Well done, sir crab. Well done.

Had fun! Did 3 runs, it’s ramping up smoothly to a point you rush to collect money and stop attacking. A TINY thing I wish was here is some sort of tell where the mage you summon will appear on the circle. Otherwise, very very great game <3

Developer(+1)

Hahaha those sneaky crabs, am I right? What do we pay the wizards for?!

Fully agree with you about the circle!

Thanks so much for playing and for such a nice comment ^^

A very chill tower defense game! I loved the art and the music was so cozy! I really liked it!

P.S. The enemies (mostly in the top-left spawn point) tend to get stuck easily, but otherwhise, good game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I couldn’t solve the getting stuck problem entirely haha. Need to give it another look.
