Wow really nice take on the theme only saw one other like it! Good thinking. Was well executed as well. Nice work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Nice game, I was getting second hand stress while playing it lmao. being in the loop = chronically online.
Really clever use of the theme! Art style was really tight, and the gameplay was surprisingly tense. Great work with this!
That's very affirming from someone who clearly knows there way around a paint brush as well as you! Thank you for taking the time to play and comment :)
Something I'm bad at in real life and the game! Although in real life I don't even try.
(Is this what people who care about popularity do all the time? Match messages with other messages?)
I wouldn't know I've been stuck as a pariah level my entire life ๐ญ
Most creative interpretation of the Loop theme I've seen so far. A great representation of the flood of messages that social media can drown you in. Loved the art and the overall presentation of the game. This was really cool!
Thank you, that's very kind. Yeah, if you can't tell, I'm not the biggest fan of social media and instant messaging haa ๐
Very charming! Super creative take on the theme, really well-realized concept too!
Thank you! ๐
Yeah this is exactly why I deleted most of my socials haha. Super creative Idea, probably the best take on the theme I've seen so far :)
Thanks, I always try be a bit out the box. I love your take too, It's still my favourite game of the jam!
Really unique and intresting idea with great execution!
Thank you for the kind words ๐
Solid work! Really enjoyed it, was definitely a challenge. So many things to match!
And they just keep coming! ๐ฑ
Thanks for playing!
Fun concept. I felt that you introduced the game pretty well in the beginning. But here were a few messages i didn't understand why it failed, they were probably connected to the hatebook tab that i didn't understand.
Felt my eyes were hurting and watering with the focus, so had to stop ^^
Ah yeah, that's probably the issue, as any name which appears on the Hatebook tab should be avoided on your phone. If you do reply to a message from someone currently listed on Hatebook, you'll lose popularity; while ignoring them boosts your popularity.
Thank you for playing though, I appreciate the feedback!
I think I got confused since it did in some way the opposite as the other tabs, but was added in the same way as the first 2. So I just skimmed the hate tab instructions, when i thought it was the same mechanic as the first 2.
That's fair! I was torn between the approach I ultimately chose and a more guided, handhold-y tutorial—one that would make you complete every action related to a new tab before proceeding. In the end, I decided against that, as I didn't want players to escape the feeling of overwhelm the game creates, so I went with the shorter explanations that maintain the unrelenting pace.
I need to get off the internet...
Nice game though, and well done with the consistent aesthetic. Even more so FANTASTIC name...
Thank you! It seems a consistent colour palette can do wonders for even the most artistically challenged!
Great choice on your name too, I commend the originality haha... now, where do we meet to duel out who gets to be the TRUE 'In the Loop'?
I love the disgusted comments, "EWWWW." Made me laugh, good job on the game!
Hopefully you didn't hear it too much! If I had the time, I 100% would have put on Mean Girls and found more responses. Although, i'm more than happy with what made the cut. Thank you for playing.
Points for creativity! It was fun juggling all the different messages and tasks. But social media is stressful, me no likey :( At least Jamie has his plant <3
Jamie does love that plant of his!
Thanks for playing ๐
Really cool idea! Great interpretation of the theme!
Thank you, I'm still not sure if making a game to be intentionally stressful was the best idea for a jam where you are marked on 'enjoyment' but I'm glad people are finding it fun either way!
that's one of the most unique interpretation's of the theme i've seen so far! (if not THE most unique)
like the previous comment said it also made me feel a little anxious while playing so i think you conveyed that feeling really well! sound effects were awesome too.
nice job!!!
Thank you that's very kind! Is it odd to say 'I'm happy to hear it made you anxious'? Either way, thanks for playing ๐
A really cool idea, kind of confusing at the start but great overall!
If you dont mind, please consider rating my game as well :)
It can be a little confusing at first but once you get going it should all fall into place. Thanks for playing!
Nice game, I definitely felt anxious playing it haha. Great job!
Mission accomplished ๐
Cool game! Love how you interpolated the loop.
Really good audio aswell.
Liked it a lot!
Thank you!
Sooo creative! Maybe the best take on the game jams theme that I've played so far. It was very well done overall
Thank you, that's really kind... or maybe when you wrote this you had only played one game haha. Either way, thank you again for taking the time to play the game and comment. It's much appreciated.
Nice! I really liked the concept, and it was longer than I expected. Great job!
Thank you, I wanted to make sure it had fair bit of replay value too so glad you stuck around to see everything it had to offer. If I had the time, I would have liked the ability to silence the tutorials on a second play through but I'm still more than happy with what is there!
