Interesting concept, using the hula momentum as part of the controls. It wasn't implemented very well so its really more of a concept demo. I suggest slowing the hoop down, getting a smoother platforming movement asset, and zooming in so we can see the character larger on screen. Good start!
the idea was nice. I think the hoop effecting when you move as well as when you jump makes it a bit awkward and doesn't feel nice especially if you need to micro-adjust. when you were told that the upward hoop was available that was good but there wasn't really anything telling you about most of the other features when you unlocked them or when you had them. I liked the scenery but the inconsistency with the character size between levels didn't feel great. I think if yous fixed a few problems and maybe added a qol feature where you could aim diagonally without moving by maybe even just having jump be based on release and when you press it it acts as the initiator ( I can't really think properly of how to word that so apologies), I think this game could engage the player more and would also allow for more challenging levels without said levels feeling unfair (which some levels felt like they were bordering on). I am aware the game was made in 4 days and that this comment is critiquing alot, but I hope this comment is useful if yous decide to expand this game.
HAHAHAHA, the dog was so funny, Bit hard to handle but full marks to the hopping dog, hahaha. :D
Would appreciate an effort if you could rank my game too.
dog is cute, but I couldn't understand the controls
Really cute dog, creative mechanic, the dog is very hard to control tho
Very cool mechanics. I think that in the 1st level the dog is too small but othewise if you continue to work alittle bit more on movement of the dog - this would become a very very good game! Good luck!!
This brought me back to the old school gameboy platform games that were so hard to play xd. Got stuck on the second beach level but had a fun time hooping and falling! Wish there was some goofy music playing in the background ૮ ºﻌºა voof job!
Great game, hard to play due to some choppy movement, but I love the idea, the art, the mechanics, etc.
Good game!
Such a cool game mechanic! With a bit of Coyote time this could be an incredible rage platformer. Great job!
Cool game! It was a really clever idea to have the momentum of the hoop influence the jumps
Nice game! Very similar to Jump King, as it has a nice balance between frustrating me but making me want to try again every time haha
I did not understand the controls at first, and I think it would have been interesting to play only with the loop and not be able to control the jump distance by moving during a jump, but the game is cool anyway.
Also the dog is cute.
You're surely aware of that already, but the lack of music and the repetitive jump sound is a bit annoying over time. Nothing serious, but would have been cool and make me want to play even more with a slightly more polished sound design :)
Congrats for the entry!
Thanks a lot! We intended to take some controls away during the second to last level and force you to use only the hoop but alas, time always wins. Thanks for playing and providing a lot of feedback!
Incredible hard and cool, very cute dog
Wow! Incredible concept. This was surprisingly challenging, and I didn't realise I had extra controls until I actually looked at the controls on the itch page xD. I got stuck at the Rubber Snap stage - maybe it's a git gud moment
