Chock-a-block. Fecundity of faerie facts & figures. You're getting into Lord Dunsany territory here. Love OD&D jousting rules. Don't mind a good depth crawl. Shout-out to monikers, especially the spritely ones (I see what did there, sprites like old school graphics).
I love a good depth crawl and a good fae-as-alien-forces adventure, and this entry brings both. I also deeply appreciate the pac-man easter egg.
I really enjoy your prose and find the old school adventure module aesthetic works great for this Jam. The encounters feel natural, interesting and most importantly encourage agency. A solid adventure especially with the limited space given.
One of the denser modules I’ve read so far from this jam, but there’s so much here that is both useful & flavorful!
I especially love how many failure points exist here, and the sheer number of NPCs that provide opportunities to tie this module into dozens of other adventures.
Props for tackling an entire new play system, that's no easy task when the limit is set at so few pages. Yet you've managed to hook me on an interesting world that I now want to explore.
Not 100% sure what you mean but I appreciate it all the same!
Hah, it seems like I left this comment on the wrong submission. Let me read this one next and I'll have more fitting feedback!
I love that your layout feels an old school module. I found the prose really pleasant to read as well. I like that if the party finds a way to leave the forest they have 'failed the test'. It really charmed me and made me want to explore it.
Thanks!! I actually used the template I use for The Ruins of Castle Gygar and all my future OSR modules.
