Awesome entry, loved the idea of using the orbiting asteroid to destroy the other ships! Great polish and presentation overall as well, awesome work!

Woahh really polished game given the limited time! Great job!! I can totally see how this could get really addicting. I did run into a small bug though: after dying and seeing the game over screen, going back to the main menu and hitting play didn’t work. I had to press restart instead to get it working again. Otherwise amazing job!

Great bug report. I assume some static classes don’t initialize correctly when going between scenes. Didn’t had time to fully test. Thanks for the feedback!

Really like this idea of collecting rocks around your ship and use them for weapons! Game was fun but in the beginning I thought it was a bit hard to hit the enemies probably because the player's slow acceleration. But all in all I enjoyed it.

It was visually overwhelming for me sometimes, a lot going on, lots of orbit rings showing up around your ship. Maybe the orbit rings could fade when they are close to your ship, or just generally be a bit less visible? I didn't notice any way to see how much health I had, other than going into the shop, which meant I was often on edge like the next shot might be my last. I  generally forgot I could speed up the orbits, so I almost never used that. If your asteroids have an orbit that overlaps your ship, they actually bump into you; I think they should just go over/under/through you. The sound effects for an asteroid hitting the enemies are weak, the ones for actually destroying an enemy are good though.

I think it would be good to have different types of upgrades. I don't know what, just something different. 😉

It's cool that the asteroids are your weapons, a shield, and also your currency. It's an interesting idea. All the visuals were consistent. The boss enemy with the flamethrowers was cool. It was a fun game, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed playing to the end. I would have played more if it hadn't finished at level 10. 😁

Very valid feedback, noted! And thanks for playing, great to hear that you enjoyed it enough to go to the boss.

The was really creative using the looping mechanic like a weapon. Art and UI looks great as well and gameplay was also pretty fun! Overall a well polished fun game. :)

Amazing game ! the idea is cool and the fact that you can destroy enemies with the meteors you collect is really satisfying. Great Submission Keep it up 🙌

I am not able to play your game as i am not on windows :/ but looking at the screenshots and other comments it looks fun and the art style is beautiful! good job!

Interesting game, I don't think it exactly fits the survivors-like genre, but it's not a problem at all.

It's really interesting to use orbiting asteroids as weapons! In practice it was a bit hard to aim, but that must just be a skill problem ^^'

It took me some time to adapt to the controls, I played with the mouse and it felt like rmb/lmb inputs should be swapped, having the utility on the left button and the attack on the right button did not feel confortable for me.

It took me some time to discover that there was an input to press to open the shop. It would be good to have it highlighted to make it more obvious, maybe after catching the first asteroid?

I listed only the negative points, but the game is overall pretty enjoyable, well done!

Developer

I think your “negative points” are very valuable, since I want to build upon this game. Thank you for the detailed and good feedback!

Really cool idea, loved how the asteroids act both as weapons and as shields. Cool how you gotta constantly manage your resources by getting new asteroid and selling them while still having enough to defend yourself!

Thank you kindly!

I did think that having to wait an entire rotation to hit the enemy again was slightly frustrating, or maybe its a skill issue on my part. Also for the space background, I think you could get a lot out of swapping it for a "space background" shader rather than it being just a flat texture. Otherwise, the visuals were pretty great, I especially was impressed with the particles on the flamethrower.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, good idea with the background, will look into it. If one asteroid is frustrating, catch a second, third, forth one with your magnet.

Wow, this is a lot harder than it looks! (to hit things at least)(thats a good thing). Very creative idea, i enjoyed :) The biggest issue i have is the sound effects volume honestly, it meant i couldnt vibe to the music :p

Excellent work! The visuals are great and the controls are quite fun. Getting a hit on other ships feels earned. It's a little confusing then you are overloaded for the first time and just can't move. It might be in the "how to play" text but I didn't look closely enough. I would have some kind of "ping" at the shop button when the player first reaches this to let them know they have options to increase/sell items

Nicely polished visuals and the ship controls well. Quite hard to get hits in though!
