The game looks amazing, it looks like it’s an already released game on the app store! I like that the spaceship has a cat even if it’s a mystery why he’s there haha.

Unfortunately, I had to play with a mouse, and I don’t think I was able to experience the intended way ^^; . The catball was quite sluggish, and I got some finger strain from holding it down constantly. Maybe don’t require the mouse press for mouse controls? I’m not sure. But I got through all 7 loops at least to see everything in the game!

I like how polished everything felt, from the art and sfx to the upgrades and hazards. Wish I could have had the intended experience, but I can tell it’s a banger!

GO IN CIRCLEEEEEEEEEE! Loved racing against myself and collectin' the lil' stars. Reminded me of primogems from genshin... maybe it's good i'm not a gacha player LOL

The game is unclear how to exit the tab, and your hand does get a little sore after a while. But other than that very solid.

What an incredible amount of intensity and polish for a four day jam!

2nd comment on this game, but I actually found myself coming back this! Which is very rare for a jam game!

My game is a cross between Super Mario Galaxy, and Cuphead, if you have any interest in that!

Really beautiful and fun game, well done on the visuals especially, it is quite impressive!

I only have a bit of a concern about the use of Copilot, the rules of the jam do no clarify this specific point but I feel that if we do not allow coders to use AI for art, the other way around should be true too, it just seems fair. Good of you to be upfront about it though (and it’s not to throw shade in any way). In any case I enjoyed it, good job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Totally fair argument! The rules specifically outlined visuals and not code, but I do completely take the criticism on the chin!

To spare TheChief any blame all of the shitty copilot code was my doing - he's an actually competent coder unlike me :D

Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh ok! No problem, I never doubted anyone’s skills :p I imagine it’s been used sparingly. I was simply raising this point for the rules in the future. Keep up the good work!

My final time was 5:17!

Awesome game, well done

amazing art direction as well, overall great job!

i had to play on mouse so it was a bit more difficult but i can see the vision if i was playing on gamepad :D

Cool racing game! We had similar idea for the theme haha - I liked the cool vibes of your game! Good job!!

A-mazing. This is almost perfect except for the gravity/inertia that so many others have pointed out.

I would have liked a acceleration upgrade or something. That’s usually my goto in racing, since I tend to crash a lot. :D

Also clever trick to get the first slot when sorted on submission time. Even I see it backfire when people are not aware that you can upload an empty game and then update it. But 4 minutes after the jam started I hadn’t even figured out what kind of game I would make, much less made a page for it. But I guess you maybe can rename the page after submitting?

Developer

Yep! TheChief's got a fancy automated system for deploying a build with the push of a button and has presumably participated in enough gamejams to build a holding page with his eyes closed :D

Developer

It was more about not worrying that I haven't submitted it at the end of the jam 😂 not many people sort by submission order!

When it was submitted, it didn't even have a build! You only need a title, which you can change yeah, and the submission details, which you can also change. The first build was an hour into the jam and it was an entirely different game lol:

Submitted(+2)

Yeah I also like to sumbit early to make sure that I have SOMETHING if everything crashes and burns. But I usually wait until I actually have something playable :)

I noticed sort by submission order and that was how I found this gem, so I for one are glad that you submitted that early.

Really good work, the game is absolutely beautiful, and the music is very pleasant, the only deffects it has is that the game has not a very creative theme (it's the fantom mode in MK), and it has no narrative.

Submitted(+1)

Unbelievably polished. Really fantastic work. Honestly no notes, I had a ton of fun and my final time for completion of the game was

Amazing little game with fantastic visuals.

Submitted(+1)

This is SO DANG POLISHED WHAT?? The art... animations... physics, your team must be so organized! Amazing dude :D

Submitted(+1)

Super duper polished and lot of fun and didn't noticed a single bug. You forget this was made during the jam.
The randomness makes it hard to speedrun sadly :')

Developer(+1)

It's not deterministic just because physics stuff is whacky like that, but I really don't remember adding randomness 🫠 everything should be the same every time, though I guess we could perhaps make the drill in/out animation start when a lap starts!

Developer

Ah yeah sadly making the drills' animation loop start at the start of every lap was on my to do list but I just ran out of time! Glad you liked it though :)

My little brother played this and loved it :)

i love the artstyle its so cute and happy

Submitted(+1)

The game looks so cute! It was a little too hard for me and I wish the theme was approached a little more creatively, but the bases are very very cool

Submitted(+1)

Great execution of a great idea for the theme. Super satisfying, easy to learn, hard to master - that ol nutshell!

Took me 5:30 to get to the end, and I only had a few moments where I felt like I was doing well so I'm very curious how fast some have managed!

Submitted(+1)

I think every other comment sums up what I could possibly say about this experience. I do wish it was easier to get momentum going because crashing out can be frustrating but the highs for this game are very high.

Submitted(+1)

It's basically perfect for a jam game. Simple but fun gameplay loop along with an appealing visual style

Submitted(+1)

Love the visuals for the game! Controls were a bit hard to master and I got stuck outside the level at the end (I think I got pulled in by a piston) then I couldn’t continue playing after that. The level design was so colourful and fun, and the little cat piloting the craft was adorable! Overall a pretty cool game!
