<joke about C++ :: syntax making this a horror game>
(In all seriousness, though, super creative idea!)
Wow, how fun! I also really, really love the art style. That specific kind of isometric combined with the Polygon 3D shapes.... mmm. Good. -GH
Really cool concept, love how many of us took a similar approach to the theme but went into very different directions with it. Would love to see more levels and more blocks of code.
Idea is very fun and perfectly alignes with gameplay and narrative. Good job!
Very cool roguelike concept! The combination of different buffs in a way to maximize your output is very fun, especially adjusting the code lines in different ways for different strategies. Very well done!
Such a clever idea! Combining wave based PVE dungeons with code and a loop. Thouroughly enjoyed optimizing my code and the boss design was really cool.
I love this game. The main mechanic is a great idea and well-done. I had a lot of fun in the three runs I played. There is surprisingly some depth to the strategy already since someone can choose to do slow loops or fast loops that buff the player. I enjoyed it a great deal yet there still seems to be room to expand the game. More complex code (I don't know what that would be) and more levels would be great. The theme is very enjoyable and I think it can be taken much further. After defeating boolean on my first playthrough, I thought of having a bad ending in which the player removes the wait 3s line to buff themself forever. I gave the game an almost perfect score, with a 4 in audio because the sound effects are a bit quiet and some events are silent. Please keep working on this game. There is still so much you can do with it.
The moment I picked up the first line of code my brain went into hyper optimization mode, only to realize that I suck at video games and t didn't matter how good my loop was if i can't dodge...
As a programmer, i loved this
That's veeery creative! It's so cool building your own code and trying to optimize it, very much how I felt during the game jam lmao
I liked the idea, I did find the controls a bit difficult, as I wasn't always sure I was hitting the ennemies or not, but solid premise!
Coding in coding elements into your code can be tough, the concept, art, and gameplay is really well thought... nice!
P.S: Telling integer that we are "counting" on you is outlandish! lol!
This was really fun to playy, the story is very creative, love the audio and the idea, very similar but still VEEERY different from a simple "choose health upgrade or damage upgrade" it was done very cleverly(? idk if this is a word lol) not a fan of the assets, but the animations are still smooth af! Only thing i would've made differently is the dash, maybe i would've added less delay, but still a great entry! :D
As a programmer, I love the way I can program a little script while playing the game itself. As feedback making the player and enemy sprite more alive/readable would improve it. But the mechanic is SOLID!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it!!
