A great game and really well crafted! It feels like a well-developed browser game from the good old days and I love the increasingly difficult puzzles. Wonderful work!

How does your game fit the theme?
A rubik's cube IS only loops. Every movement rotates the whole of the loop and each loop interacts with other loops. The objects on the cube go through their life cycles, being born, giving birth, dying, etc.

This is such a good game. I wish I was better at this type of puzzles.
This was a great experience! Really simple to learn and fun to play around with. I liked the camera control a lot as well, even if it felt a bit floaty at times! Nice aesthetic
Love this game and concept. Definitely made me think a bit. Awesome job!
One of the more creative entries in the jam by far and I'm always glad to see more 3D games entered in as well. Puzzles were intuitive and I'd love to see how challenging you could make this project by expanding on it!
One of the most interesting entries in the jam, probably my favourite puzzle game I've rated. If I had any notes it'd be to include some info on how to actually shift the faces of the cube and control the camera. Fantastic work! I honestly think this should be featured.
Very fun and interesting game loved the art and enjoyed the puzzles
Very good entry! It did seem a little bit too much was going at the same time for me, when you have to both solve a Rubik's Cube and interact with the morphing mechanics, but maybe I'm just bad haha. There was also a lot of recipes given right at the start and it looked a bit overwhelming. I did think the level progression was good though.
Everything seems to be polished very well as well. Good job!
Interesting take on Rubik's cube.
At first, the Recipe on the side was confusing and too much information, and I just did 9 levels-ish(?) intuitively, which is a good thing! then started to needing some help to understand how to make a Sakura tree along the green tall ones.
I never really loved Rubik's cube, but it stuck to me. The magica voxel-like visual art, along with the smooth music, cute little space ambiance and bioms, particles of the fireworks, and all the sfx, you just slowly groove yourself into that little cube world.
Thanks for creating it <3
I really liked this game, and it grew on me the more I played it! The music was good, the visual effects and models were great, the controls were intuitive!
I have a few small gripes with it: I found the recipe board to be frustrating, and I abandoned it very quickly. I also had some difficulty telling which icons were meant to correspond with which objects on the cube (particularly the various forms of green foliage). I'm not certain, but also think it was missing recipes: There was one level, in particular, with the pink trees, where I only saw two recipes that could effect the pink trees, but the level required you to use a recipe which was not present on the list. I also found the recipe list to be a little long, which added to the overwhelming feeling. I would suggest just doing away with the list entirely, and have learning and remembering the recipes be part of the built-in challenge of the game. If the recipe list were to remain, I would love to see: the list auto-update to only show recipes for the possible objects that will be on the cube for a given level, and the icons, or uniqueness of the models, be reworked a bit in a couple areas. I also wish that the correct solution required the objects to be placed in the area on the cube as shown in the picture (Placing two diagonally works, when the reference shows them placed vertical/horizontal)
I might be biased because I used to be a bit of a Rubik's Cube Fanatic, but I think this is my favourite game in the jam! I just started game dev this year, and since I've started, I've been trying to think of how I could make some sort of game centered around Rubik's cube mechanics: I'm so jealous of the idea, and the execution. I'm so interested to see if you build on this further. AWESOME GAME
Thank you so much for this in depth review!
Yes, the recipe board was not good enough. It was a time thing. Every chain should have had it's own (circular) board showing all the recipes with better rendered icons that will be easy to follow. I agree with basically everything that you wrote down.
So so glad you liked it! We have the feeling that this can be expanded on a lot with more items, different effects and even different cubes! (3x3x3 and more)
