Oh wow. The difficulty up front really caught me off guard, but the core spell casting mechanic is really cool.
Beautiful pixel art too. Really enjoyed this even though I struggled with the difficulty.
This feels like a complete game already! The art and everything is great and all the visuals are consistent in a way that makes my OCD happy (`: Great work here!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Holy cow this is such a cool mechanic. You could easily blow this out into a full game. I agree with some of the other players that this game is a maybe a touch too difficult, but I think if you had the the time to mess with some additional movement/defense mechanics, maybe a dodge roll or a dash or a shield or something, I think this could be a full Steam release. Such a fresh idea, executed really nicely! Well done!
Thank you so much! I do feel like I've only scratched the surface of some of these mechanics, though of course the main priority right now is balancing the encounters. Thanks for the encouraging words!
I really recomend you to try to get past the 3rd fight, the next fight shows an extra ennemy mechanic and I think its worth the time spent. At least to see the potential of this game mechanics
Great game!!!
I struggled a bit with the 3rd challenge, took me around 3 or 4 tries, but once I got past that, the final battle felt much easier. Really nice use of the loop concept.
Definitely left me wanting more content!
It's nice but really challenging!
The game is very difficult and I didn't get very far. But the concept is great and the graphics are beautiful. A little balancing in terms of difficulty would make this game a lot of fun :)
I've seen other games with the same concept in this jam but This one stands out. I like the art!
Really, really fun!!! A solid bunch of creative and enjoyable mechanics and a really charming art style and narrative, great job!! Perhaps a little difficult too early on but not too bad. I'm wondering if the power ups should be buffed a bit, as I found myself being more successful just focusing on damaging the enemies rather then trying to get the powers. (last longer and/or more effective?). This game has great potential and I get the feeling I'll come back to this one later, I really wanna beat it!!
Thank you so much! I agree, both the difficulty and the power ups are being adjusted as soon as the voting period ends.
I like the game idea, and I think the looping is a really cool mechanic. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the frog. I think it got a bit too hard too quickly unless you're used to bullet hells. Still fun to play though!
Thanks for the feedback! I definetly got tunnel vision with the difficulty lol
Cute!
I couldn't get past the second challenge. Too many bullets.
The spell casting idea is great, it felt really good to run a circle, and if you're hit the circle gets shorter. Nice
Thank you! As soon as the voting period is over I'll be uploading a build with adjusted difficulty for sure.
